Yesterday I shared Part 1 of Day 3 — if you haven’t watched it yet, go check that out first 👀
For everyone else… welcome to a 13-hour workday in China 🇨🇳

After finalising the dining room and home cinema furniture, we moved on to one of the biggest scopes of this project: closets & bespoke cabinetry.

For this, we worked with James, whose company specialises in custom woodwork — kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, and detailed joinery.
This project alone needs 6 bedroom closets and 2 walk-in wardrobes, each fully customised with internal accessories tailored to every family member’s lifestyle.

After a quick showroom walkthrough, James and I spent over 6 hours going deep into measurements, layouts, materials, finishes, and functionality.
It was long, detailed, and intense — but this is exactly where a project goes from good to exceptional.

That’s a wrap for Day 3 ✔️
If you want to see how all these custom pieces come together and get an exclusive look at the final spaces, make sure you follow along — the best is yet to come ✨

Welcome back to Day 3 of our 5-day China furniture hunt for a 16,000 sq. ft interior project 🇨🇳
When you’re designing at this scale, details matter — and sourcing directly from the source makes all the difference.

We kicked off today with dining tables & chairs — the “quick decision” that wasn’t so quick after all 😅
The dining room spans 320 sq. ft, so we needed a statement 12-seater built for entertaining.

Final design:
▫️ 1.4 × 3.5 m custom dining table
▫️ Full natural marble top
▫️ PVD-coated stainless steel base
Bold, timeless, and built to last.

The dining room concept is bold & adventurous — burgundy accents, brushed gold hardware, tan upholstery, and tinted glass.
This marble was the final pick for the table, and the colour palette flows seamlessly into the dining chairs for a cohesive yet striking look.

Next stop: home theatre seating 🎬
We visited a specialist recliner manufacturer, finalised the designs, and locked all materials.

Time’s running out, but Day 3 isn’t over yet 👀
Stay tuned for Part 2 — I’ll see you tomorrow.

Turning this master bathroom from “functional” into “I live at a spa now.” ✨
New layout, new materials, new mood — same footprint, totally different experience.

From outdated tiles to luxe textures, soft lighting, and a space that finally feels calming instead of chaotic… this transformation is my new obsession. 🛁🤍

See how a few intentional design choices can change everything.

Day 2 in China and it’s getting serious.

I’m Lubaba Nadim, founder of THC — The Home Company, and we’re sourcing furniture for a 16,000 sq. ft project that has… a lot of sitting 😅
3 formal seating areas, 2 family lounges, 1 study, 2 bedroom lounges — yep, sofa season.

Today was all about finding the perfect seating, so we headed straight to a factory instead of the usual market. And honestly?
It blew Louvre Mall out of the water. Better designs, bigger variety, and the pricing? Chef’s kiss. 🫶

They had five massive showrooms attached to the factory, each with its own vibe — modern, rattan, classic, contemporary, you name it. Total furniture paradise.

We shortlisted pieces, finalised sizes, and then came the fun (and chaotic) part: fabric and material customisation with our rep, Jenny.
Everything here is bespoke, so it’ll take about 2 months to reach Dubai — perfect timing while our site gets prepped for joinery + installation.

Sharing just a peek at what we chose 👇
Full reveal stays a secret for now 😉

11 pieces locked. 8 hours done. Day 2 wrapped.
See you tomorrow — Day 3 is going to be wild 👀🔥

Day 1 in China 🇨🇳 and sourcing furniture for a 16,000 sq. ft interior project is definitely not as glamorous as it sounds 😅
The Louvre Mall (aka Asia’s biggest furniture market) has too many options — fabrics, finishes, pricing, quality levels… I’m drowning in choices 🫠

Today’s focus:
🔹 Understanding the market
🔹 Comparing pricing vs. quality
🔹 Shortlisting pieces for customisation
🪑 Because if it needs custom work, it gets locked FIRST.

Everything here is customisable — amazing, but also chaotic when you’re hunting for perfection 👀
Brain fried, steps done, Day 1 wrapped.
See you tomorrow — things get interesting ✨

My biggest flex? Taking a room from “this” to “THIS.”

Let me show you how we made it happen. ✨

When we first walked in, the issue wasn’t size — it was the flow.
Dark, cramped, cluttered. So we stripped it down and rebuilt it to feel lighter and actually function.

Green was the hero from day one — cabinets, flooring, feature wall — all designed around that earthy villa vibe.

Quartz counters, brick backsplash, warm wood, and rattan touches brought it all together.

Storage was a major problem, so we re-engineered everything: deep drawers, pull-outs, magic corners, a baking island, and fully integrated appliances.

We also replaced the bulky developer lights with layered lighting — cove, spot, strip, and downlights — instantly opening up the space.

Jotun Green Leaf + clean moldings + a custom coffee station = the feature wall of dreams.

Four months in two minutes is tough… but the transformation says it all.

😅 My client officially ran out of patience and gave my contractor one week to get everything done before move-in.
And that deadline? Yeah… it was last week.

🏡 So here we are, setting up the house for him to move in tomorrow.

Looking at the site condition right now—it’s definitely not screaming “move-in ready,” but stick around till the end to see how much we manage to pull off in literally one day.

🧹 My day started with a site visit to Bateen to check on what the team’s been up to.

We’re down to final touches now—so my job was basically keeping all the teams in sync and bringing the space to life.

🕓 By 4PM, the clock was ticking.

Four people cleaning, four doing paint touch-ups, the rest setting up furniture.

The dining table and bar? Finally in place—and that bar cabinet? Timeless, rich, and the perfect anchor for the room.

💡 Oh, and this custom light from HUDA Lighting? A total showstopper.

After wrapping up Bateen, it was straight to Building Material Mall for tile and slab shopping, and then Marina Homes for bedding and bathware.

Seven hours later, I was exhausted—but honestly? So proud.

See you in the next vlog for Bateen’s final reveal. ✨

✨ Today was such a good day on site—everything at Embody is finally coming together, and it feels amazing to see the vision turning real.

🚪 The hallway cladding is going in, and instantly creates that grand entrance moment. The ethnic room, the discussion room—each space is starting to take shape beautifully.

💚 And that green wall? Stunning. The arched mirror completely transformed the room—it feels more open, airy, and alive.

🎨 Painting ✔️ | Staircase ✔️ | Lighting ✨ almost done—just waiting on the hallway pendants.

💻 This is her office—designed to be a calm yet inspiring space for work and content creation. The sleek storage unit keeps it minimal but functional.

🪞The powder room looks gorgeous with that Corian vanity, and don’t even get me started on the staircase lighting—I’m obsessed. (Yes, we reused the old rails!)

We wrapped the day with a fun moment—testing the display rack because our contractor Youssaf had to prove it was solid. Spoiler: he was right. 😄
