👩‍🍳 Method

1. Prepare the Kofte (Meatballs):

In a bowl, mix keema, onion, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, coriander, garam masala, salt, and besan.

2. Prepare the Salan (Gravy):

Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onions and sauté till golden brown.

Add ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell disappears.

Add tomato puree and cook till oil separates. 🍅

Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt.

Mix well and cook for a minute.

3. Add Kofte:

Slowly drop the kofte into the gravy. Do not stir for the first 5 minutes to avoid breaking them.

Pepper Steak Recipe that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Recipe👇

For the Steak:
1 lb flank steak (or sirloin), thinly sliced against the grain
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 green bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1-inch piece ginger, minced

For the Sauce:
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (to thicken)

Instructions:
Season the steak with salt and pepper.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the steak in a single layer (work in batches if necessary) and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned but not fully cooked through. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the remaining oil. Add the sliced onions, red and green bell peppers, and stir-fry for about 3–4 minutes until they start to soften. Then add the minced garlic and ginger; stir-fry for another 30 seconds until fragrant.

Return the steak to the pan. Stir in the additional sauce ingredients—2 tablespoons soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Pour in the cornstarch slurry and stir well. Continue to cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and evenly coats the steak and vegetables. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles. Enjoy!
