في الفن و العمارة الإسلامية، تتشابك مفاهيم التصميم والروحانية بشكل وثيق؛ إذ يُنظر إلى الإبداعات المادية كوسيلة لتعكس التناغم اتساق الكون و انسجام مخلوقاته و حكمة التدبير الالهي كلها لخدمة الإنسان. وتُصاغ فنون العمارة والخط والهندسة لتكون أدوات للارتقاء الروحي، حيث توجّه العقل بعيداً عن العالم المادي نحو التأمل في عظمة الخالق.

وتستند هذه العلاقة العميقة بين المفهومين إلى مجموعة من الفلسفات الجوهرية والعناصر الفنية.

⏳Long back, during Islamic golden era, muslim artisans, craftsmen, architects of all Islamic works of art and architecture like architectural elements, geometrical ornamentations in various mediums, etc.. did not sign theirs works.
We don’t have records of names of islamic artists or craftsmen.. Because they believed that every piece of their creation is that of Allah, of their creator. And that was a form of worship expressing the beauty of Allah, the beauty that Prophet Mohammad PBUH spoke about in his narration of Allah’s beauty (principle 3 mentioned in this post)

👨‍🎨But the true spirit of the designer/creator is present in those works. And the viewer feels the traces of that when experiencing those works done by authentic muslim artists/architects versus works done by todays’ contemporary artists/architects who are borrowing the FORM and STYLE but cant express the same spirit of MAJESTY and BEAUTY felt in traditional works.
