Every detail matters before we call a project complete.

At our ongoing apartment project in Serenia Living, Palm Jumeirah, I’m inspecting the work closely, from finishes and alignments to detailing and overall ex*****on, making sure every element reflects the design intent we started with.

Site inspections are where drawings meet reality. It’s about identifying what needs refinement, giving the contractors clear feedback, and making sure nothing gets accepted simply because it is “good enough.”

At Zen Interiors, the standard is simple: the finished space must live up to our expectations and, more importantly, deliver the level of quality our client was promised.

Good interior design is often about solving the problems you were never supposed to notice.

For this two-bedroom apartment in Marina Gate, Dubai, the client wanted the washing machine positioned beneath the kitchen counter. The challenge was simple but critical: there was no clean way to route the electrical supply without leaving visible wiring across the wall.

Our solution was to design a custom shelf above the kitchen counter, connected directly to the ceiling, allowing the electrical supply to be routed discreetly through its mounting point.

What appears to be a simple shelf became storage, structure and an electrical solution working together, without compromising the visual language of the kitchen.

One room. Two completely different lives.

For this villa in District One, Dubai, the client wanted a space that could work as both a guest bedroom and a home gym without permanently sacrificing either function.

The solution was a custom Murphy bed, designed to fold seamlessly into the wall when it isn’t needed. With the bed tucked away, the room opens up into a spacious workout area. When guests arrive, it transforms back into a comfortable bedroom within seconds.

This is what thoughtful interior design should do: not just make a room look better, but make every square metre work harder.

Every transformation begins with understanding the architecture before introducing aesthetics. This Al Furjan villa interior design project was approached by preserving the generous proportions and natural light while layering the space with warmth, texture, and timeless materials.

The living and dining areas were reimagined using bespoke joinery, textured feature walls, integrated shelving, ambient lighting, and a carefully balanced neutral palette. Floor-to-ceiling curtains soften the double-height glazing, while sculptural lighting and custom furniture create visual rhythm without overwhelming the architecture. Every design decision was made to improve functionality, circulation, and the overall spatial experience.

The bedrooms continue the same philosophy with upholstered feature headboards, layered lighting, premium finishes, and custom wardrobes that maximise storage while maintaining a clean architectural language. At the entrance, a bespoke slatted partition, floating console, and illuminated circular mirror establish a refined first impression, transforming an unused transitional space into a defining design feature.

A home shaped by light, stillness and the sea.

For this apartment at Marina Beach Vista, Emaar Beachfront, the design was kept calm and refined, allowing the waterfront views to remain part of every room.

Soft neutral tones create a sense of continuity across the living, dining and kitchen areas, while layered textures, sculptural lighting, warm wood and subtle metallic details bring depth without making the space feel heavy. The open-plan layout feels generous and connected, yet each area maintains its own character.

The bedrooms continue the same quiet design language through bespoke furniture, tactile finishes and carefully considered storage. Outside, the expansive balcony extends the living experience toward the Dubai Marina skyline and the water beyond.
