-Let the Art Make the Space-
For some of us, art does not come at the end of the design process but at the beginning—as a starting point, shaping space through meaning first, and then giving us ideas of colors and shapes. And when you start with meaning, you don’t feel the need to follow every trend or keep replacing artwork like it’s an afterthought. It starts with understanding the value—not the price.
Whether we are aware of it or not, everything is designed—from our thoughts to our living environment—so choose wisely.
This room is my dream environment: a contrast of raw materials and vibrant Klein blue, where artwork makes the space, even though it’s surrounded by raw concrete. I haven’t known her for long, but what is clear to me is that this human has freedom of movement in the world, and her message is clear—even in one color and line work. It carries energy, intention, and meaning that may not be tangible, but is undeniably there.
So next time you choose art, never ask the artist to copy someone else’s work to fit the space. Let the artist make the space.
