After designing so many homes, we’ve realised that designing for kids is a completely different thought process from designing for adults. They grow up fast, their likes change, and in a few years they’re almost a completely different person. So while designing the daughter’s room in this villa, we had to think a little ahead, not just for who she is right now, but who she’ll become.

We went with these softer tones across the room because they let us add fun elements without the space feeling too loud, and more importantly, it’s something that will still work a few years down the line. You’ll see it in the wallpaper, the little details around the bed, even the study corner.

Even in the washroom and storage, everything has been planned at a scale that works for her right now, but won’t feel out of place as she grows. We can’t wait to see this come to life. Would you design a kid’s room like this or go more theme-based? Tell us what you think!

The current situation is changing things quite quickly, and we’re already seeing it on our projects. Costs are going up, timelines are harder to predict, and a lot of things don’t feel as straightforward as they did before.

At the same time, it’s made us slow down and think a little more before making decisions. We’re being more careful with planning and a lot more aware of how we approach each project. We’re making decisions earlier and finding smarter ways to approach design with what’s available.

If you’re building or planning right now, you’ve probably noticed this too. How has it been on your end?

When you start designing in different places, you realise pretty quickly that you can’t approach every home the same way. Things like the weather, how people live, and even local habits end up shaping a lot of your decisions, and the UAE is very different in that sense.

Designing in the UAE makes you think about things you don’t always consider elsewhere, like how heat affects materials, how spaces need to open and close through the day, and how the house actually functions long term. It’s been a really interesting shift for us.

Are there any UAE-specific design trends, things you’ve noticed or follow while designing? Let us know in the comments below!

We’ve been working on this home in the lakes for a while now, and finally seeing the dining and kitchen come together like this is honestly just really exciting for us.

- For the dining area, we wanted it to feel like one of those spots where you don’t just eat and leave, you end up sitting there for a while, talking, catching up, just spending time.
- The mandir was something we didn’t want to treat like a separate corner, so we built it into the whole unit so it feels like a part of the space but still stands out in its own way.
- The kitchen was planned to feel open, so you can cook, move around, and still feel connected to everything happening outside.

We can’t wait to see this come to life. What do you think of these designs so far? Let us know in the comments!

We’ve been working on this home at the Lakes for a while now, and seeing it all come together like this just makes us really excited.

For the living room, we wanted it to feel like that one place everyone can just sit, relax, have long conversations, and actually spend time together without it feeling too formal.

The staircase was never just meant to be functional. We wanted it to have a moment of its own.

The outdoor deck wasn’t meant to just sit there. We wanted it to feel like a proper hangout spot, where people can sit together, enjoy the outdoors, maybe have a coffee or dinner and just spend time.

We can’t wait to make these renders come to life. Would you live in a space like this? let us know in the comments below!

Working on homes for clients in their 80s has been one of the most grounding experiences for us as designers.
It shifts your focus completely. You stop thinking about what’s new or different, and start paying attention to what already exists, the habits, the routines, the small things that make up everyday life.

You realise that even the smallest changes can feel big. So the approach becomes simpler, more thoughtful, and a lot more patient. It’s less about redesigning and more about gently improving what’s already there.

These projects have really changed how we look at design. It’s not always about adding more, sometimes it’s just about making things easier, calmer, and more intuitive to live with.
Would love to know if you’ve ever experienced something like this.

ood lighting is something we all need, especially around a desk. If you don’t have a proper light near you, you end up adjusting your screen, leaning forward, or just working in bad lighting without realising how uncomfortable it is. This is a really simple fix for that.

It’s a magnetic track light that you can just attach onto any metal surface. No drilling, no setup. You can move it around, change the angle, and place it wherever you need it at that moment. And it’s not just for desks. You can use it on a shelf, next to your bed, inside a wardrobe, or anywhere you need a quick light.

We love things like this because they’re easy and actually so useful in day to day life. Would you use something like this?

Handover days are always something we really look forward to, but also get a little nervous about. It’s the final day, the day the clients finally see everything we’ve been working on for months, and we get to show it to them.

This one is an apartment in Sobha Hartland, designed keeping the clients Russian background and lifestyle in mind. By the time we reach this point, we’ve spent so long building the space, drawings, site visits, and so many small decisions all coming together.

And then once they walk in, it turns into conversations about how they’re going to live in it, what each space will be used for, and what they’re most excited about. That’s honestly the best part for us. Which is why handover day will always be one of our favourite parts of the process. ❤️

Even right now, it’s the everyday things that keep you going - the routine, the work, and the people you show up with.

In a lot of ways, things still look the same. We’re still coming in, going on site, and moving projects forward the way we always do. And that consistency does make a difference. Just knowing that things are progressing, that work is getting done, helps bring a sense of normalcy to the day.

We know things will find their rhythm again. And when they do, we’ll be here.

There are a few habits that can completely change the way you work and one of them is making space for real conversations. Not just the ‘let’s get this done’ kind, but the ones that help you understand people beyond their job titles.

The best workplaces aren’t just about hitting targets; they’re built on trust, communication, and a genuine effort to support each other. When you create room for open dialogue, you start seeing the things that don’t always come up in meetings—the challenges, the aspirations, the small shifts that make a big difference.

If you want a stronger, more connected team, start here. Block off the time, ask the real questions, and actually listen. The impact is bigger than you think.

Vanity areas honestly get messy really fast. There are too many small things, you keep using them every day, and suddenly the surface is full again.

So here’s a simple way we like to keep it clutter-free. Here’s what we did:

• we added hidden storage on the side that opens with a simple press, so everything stays tucked away but still easy to reach
• you just open the shutter and push it inside, which means nothing blocks you while you’re using it
• no visible hinges, so it looks clean and blends into the vanity, and it keeps everyday essentials off the counter without reducing storage

It’s one of those small details that makes getting ready feel a little less chaotic. Would you add something like this to your vanity? Let me know in the comments.
