My last post, I won't say 'ever' because things may change, but I can't see any positives in staying active on Facebook or Instagram at this time.

I'm slowly getting over the need to check my Facebook and Instagram accounts every few hours, and starting to appreciate how much time I wasted scrolling through things that don't really have any purpose.
The early days were great, I could share what I was creating and see what everyone else was up to. But now it is a matter of scrolling through adds in the hope a post of someone I actually follow pops up. I have had enough and say it is time to stop rewarding stupidly rich men who seem to have no moral standard about what is right for society. Put simply, you can say whatever truth or lie you want so long as you pay!
While I'm not deleting my accounts at this time, I will not be monitoring them on a daily basis. If you wish to contact me please do so via my website or email. If you want to see what Robbie's Jewellery is up to then please subscribe to my new monthly newsletter at https://subscribepage.io/RobbiesJewellerysignup and check out the website www.robbiesjewellery.com.au

Not my last market, just my last social media market promotion, because I can see what damage Facebook and Instagram are doing to the world and I no longer want to be part of it. Subscribe to the newsletter to stay in touch, learn how I make the jewellery, receive special offers, and more. I don't want to loose your support, but I do my best to keep up a good moral standard. Staying with Facebook and Instagram, supporting an organisation with minimal morals, that actively promotes misinformation, while making millions of $$$$$$$$$$ and does little to promote small business unless you pay $$$$, goes against everything I believe makes a good society.

I have just sent out my first monthly newsletter. Check it out and subscribe for future editions if you have not already done so (you can do so via the newsletter). This is to become my way of sharing information. I intend leaving social media to reclaim my life in the near future.
As well as sharing details of upcoming events, I hope to use this newsletter as a way of sharing the science behind my jewellery and to include articles on my love of the native plants themselves. You can expect to see articles on: how the jewellery is made, Robbie's native garden, background i...

Yes, I have had enough of FB and Insta. Initially I will stop posting to these pages. I will set up a mailing list via my website www.robbiesjewellery.com.au and start a monthly newsletter, where I will share things like markets appearances and new creations. Look out for a post with details of how to sign up for the newsletter in the next week or so.
Read on to know why I'm going.
You probably haven't noticed the lack of Robbie's Jewellery posts recently, because unless I pay Meta $$, posts get minimal distribution. As an example, posts that would have be seen by a few hundred or more people a few years ago are now lucky to reach above 20 of you.
Try this, view your FB or Insta Stream and check the first 10 posts. You will be lucky if 4 of these 10 are from people you actually follow. The rest are suggestions or sponsored.
I refuse to give $$ to people who believe that hate/racist speech and lies is free speech, just so people who appreciate my work may, or may not see, what I'm up to.
I encourage everyone who still cares about our society to also consider leaving social media and get their lives back.
Thank you for reading this far and continuing to support my small business.
Robbie

Happy New Year. Hope you all had a safe and enjoyable break.
This is where you will find Robbie and Carol this month.
So excited to announce that with your help, I have now purchased 1,000 trees through the Trees For Habitat program, ran by Trees For Life (SA)
But no time to stop.. Can't wait to reach 2,000... I love my little life circle.
The trees grow the leaves...
Robbie turns them into jewellery...
Which you purchase and enjoy...
Your payment includes a new tree (and helps Robbie and Carol pay a few bills)...
The tree grows more leaves.... and repeat

Giving or donating pieces is the best 😊. These are for a door prize tonight.
When people ask "would you keep creating if you won the lottery and didn't have to". I say "yes, but I would give all my pieces away for free". 😃

Robbies Jewellery
Uniquely designed Jewellery crafted from natural materials.
Eucalyptus gum nuts are used as caps for tassels. I love searching for gum nuts with unusual shapes and features, which I can incorporate into my jewellery designs.
The surface patterning on quandong nuts is amazing. It is like observing a miniature landscape of valleys and hills. Cutting into this landscape reveals a thin surface crust over a darker inner layer with an edible internal seed, which is removed to leave a hollow core.
After viewing my work please tell me what you think. I rely on people telling me what they like, or don’t like about my jewellery, to improve my designs.
