A few people have been asking about our Black Tie @ Make & Mend afternoon, so we thought we'd better explain…

THE EVENT IS FREE! ❤️

You do NOT have to book the Malaysian Feast to come along.

You don't need an expensive outfit.

And you definitely don't need to know which fork to use. 😂

This is Black Tie… Agnes style!

On Sunday 18 October, we're simply creating a beautiful afternoon where different generations of our community can come together for music, stories, food and connection.

And we're particularly excited to give two of our youngest local performers a community stage. ❤️

🎶 Juny — just 10 years old — performing live at 4.45pm.

🎤 Milenka — 12 years old — performing at 5.30pm, following the release of her new original song You and I, filmed right here in Agnes Water & 1770.

📚 We'll also hear from two local authors, before finishing the afternoon by watching Milenka's debut music video together.

And yes… there IS food! 🇲🇾

The Coco Craze will be serving an optional 3-course Malaysian Feast:

Meal bookings are essential because we need catering numbers — but you can absolutely attend the event without purchasing a meal.

This is an afternoon bringing different generations of our community together around stories, songs, food and connection.

Our school holiday workshop program is kicking off with one of our favourites — PAUSE & PAINT! 💛

And this time, we're opening the doors to our younger creatives aged 10+ too!

Join us for a relaxed morning of painting, colour and creativity, where you can experiment, learn new techniques and simply enjoy making art without worrying about getting it “perfect”.

A little reminder that TODAY is the final day of our priority booking period for our upcoming Seniors Month Creative Connections workshops, proudly supported by Gladstone Regional Council .

Over the past week, we’ve been giving priority access to seniors through our local aged-care, support and community networks — particularly those who may be less mobile, socially isolated, or need a little extra help accessing activities in our community.
