Today, the 4th of May, will forever be known as Daphne Day 🌼💔
Our family is utterly heartbroken to say goodbye to our old girl, the most beautiful cat I’ve ever known. She’s been our faithful studio companion for 15 years, frequently helping tidy the paperwork and rearrange fabric samples, lying on my keyboard to add a few ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to finish an email.
She’s dotingly sat beside each of our kids through countless meltdowns, kept their tootsies warm in the dead of night, helped finish their dinner (dessert even better!), held hands with Andre on the couch (mostly during winter) and quietly, yet persistently tripped me up in the kitchen when her bowl lay empty. She was a drip licker of note, a lover of showers and bathroom sinks, leaking hoses and faulty taps. So very, very British with her granny underbite and her stoic, stiff upper lip right to the very end.
I have never loved a furry creature so much. Rest now my tuna-loving girl. Thank you for enriching our lives with your gentle soul. There will never be another Daphne Cat ❤️
