A vintage Tabriz, approx 70 years old, hand knotted in wool and cotton across many thousands of knots.

Motifs run throughout the field rather than gathering into a central medallion.

Vintage rugs are made to be used. Wool sheds moisture and spills rather than holding them, hand knots hold their shape.

Base in terracotta and dusty rose clay, faded to a neutral tone. Hints of apricot, soft sage and weathered grey-green. Border in aged ivory, faded taupe and soft stone.

Woven by hand in Türkiye approximately seventy years ago, this Oushak wool and cotton rug has settled into one of the most quietly beautiful palettes we carry.
A bleached ivory ground hosts large sweeping botanicals with loose vines and florals in muted eggplant and soft graphite with an almost drawn quality, like ink on linen.
The pattern moves with an unusual ease, gathering softly toward the centre before flowing outward across the field.
