Just some of our Junior Potion Makers creations from the school holidays ✨🪄

Over the past two weeks we’ve loved seeing so many young candle makers get creative at The Coven Bx.

These are just some of the Junior Potion Makers candles that were created during the school holidays — full of colour, imagination and lots of personality. 💜

Every creation was a little bit different, and that’s what made them so special.

A big thank you to everyone who came in and took part in our Junior Potion Makers promotion. We loved seeing all the creativity come to life.

A little Sunday update 🤍

We have a lovely large group joining us this Sunday, so our Candle Café will be a little different for part of the day.

🕯️ Candle making will be unavailable from 11:30am–2:30pm while we host their private group booking.
☕ Takeaway coffee, drinks and snacks will still be available during this time.
✨ Candle making is available as usual before 11:30am and again from 2:30pm, and we’re already taking bookings on either side of the group.

If you’re planning to make candles with us this Sunday, we strongly recommend booking so we can make sure we have a space ready for you.

Thank you for understanding while we look after a very full Candle Café for a few hours! 🤍

Only 2 days left ✨🧪

Our Junior Potion Makers have been so popular these school holidays that we’ve extended the promotion right through to the end of the weekend.

That means there are still 2 more days for the kids to create their own candle, choose their fragrance, decorate their creation and take home their very own Junior Potion Keeper Certificate.

🕯️ Candle making from $17
🚶 Walk-ins welcome
📅 Groups of 4+ — bookings recommended
☕ Coffee, drinks and snacks available too

If you’ve been meaning to come in these holidays, this is your little reminder. 🤍

Just a little reminder 🤍

We’ll be back open as usual from Tuesday 6 October for coffee, candle making and everything in between.

Enjoy the rest of your long weekend and we’ll see you Tuesday ✨

New in at The Coven ✨

A few new things have landed this week — including one that gave us a good laugh. 😂

I ordered what I thought would be a cute little croc-style mould to use as decorations on candles…

Apparently I should have checked the dimensions a little more carefully.

At 14.5cm long, they were definitely not going to be little decorations — so we changed direction and turned them into candles of their own instead. 🤣

You can choose the colour, fragrance and 3 decorations to make your croc completely your own.

We’ve also had some gorgeous new tealight vessels arrive, with a mix of skull, cat, dog and meditation designs that would make lovely little gift ideas.

Sometimes the best new ideas come from things not quite going to plan. 🤍

Pop in and have a look at what’s new.

A little heads-up for the October Long Weekend 🤍

The Coven Bx will be closed on Monday 5 October for the Labour Day public holiday.

We’ll be back open as usual from Tuesday 6 October for coffee, candle making and everything in between.

We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend, and we’ll see you Tuesday. ✨

As we head towards our busiest time of year, we wanted to give everyone plenty of notice about a small change to our booking policy from 1 November to 31 January.

We truly value your time, and we hope you value ours too. Unfortunately, we’ve had an increase in no-shows recently, and during the busy Christmas period that can mean we’ve held spaces for guests who don’t attend, while potentially turning others away.

For bookings during this period, we’ll be introducing a $10 per person pre-authorisation.

Nothing is charged when you make your booking. The $10 per person will only be charged if a booking is cancelled within 48 hours or in the event of a no-show.

We completely understand that plans can change, and all we ask is that you let us know as early as possible if you can no longer make your booking.

Thank you so much for your understanding, your support, and for helping us make sure our available spaces can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. 🖤✨
