Merry Christmas Everyone 🎄✨ getting in early before the big day begins tomorrow… Santa’s cookies are under the tree! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here and following along on our journey over the last couple of months. Your messages, support, and encouragement honestly mean more than you know. I know I’ve been a little quiet lately, life has been beautifully busy, and I haven’t been able to share as many recipes as I’d planned. Thank you for your patience and for sticking around. The good news? There’s plenty more coming soon. More recipes, more baking, and more of the real, behind-the-scenes moments we love. Wishing you and your families a Christmas filled with love, warmth, and a little extra sweetness 🤍

My girl… Every morning she wakes up with the same plan… she heads straight to the kitchen, apron on, heart wide open 🍪❤️ She bakes a fresh batch and hands them out to everyone we cross paths with that day, not just cookies, but her way of saying “I’m thinking of you.” A small ritual. A big heart. This is her love language, and Christmas just gives her an excuse to share it louder. ✨ If kindness had a flavour, this would be it. Thanks to for these cute mason jars ❤️

Being on the Central Coast this week has honestly been a breath of fresh air… Not just for the beach days, but for how easy it’s been to eat gluten free and dairy free here. We’ve found cafés that actually understand cross-contamination, GF options that don’t taste like cardboard, and restaurants that don’t look at you like you’re asking for the moon when you mention allergies. It’s been such a relief, especially with kids. Eating out hasn’t felt stressful for once… it’s felt normal. If you’re travelling through Umina, Ettalong or anywhere along the coast, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how many places genuinely cater for families like ours. It makes a holiday feel like a holiday when you’re not constantly scanning menus or explaining ingredients. The Central Coast gets a big tick from us. ✔️Safe food, good food, happy kids, relaxed parents. The dream combo.

This photo of the girls in their tiny Santa hats took me right back to the years when Christmas was all about tiny moments in the kitchen. 🎄✨

The giggles, the sticky fingers, the “can I lick the spoon?”, the flour footprints on the floor… all the bits that actually matter.

And when we first went gluten free AND dairy free… I worried those moments might disappear.

I thought Christmas baking would feel harder, more complicated, maybe even a little overwhelming.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

✨ Kids don’t need a perfect Christmas… they just need you.

✨ They remember the laughter, not the flawless gingerbread.

✨ They remember the memories, not the ingredients list.

Going gluten free, dairy free didn’t take the magic away for us… it just gave us NEW traditions, new recipes, and a whole new way of creating joy together.

So as December begins, here’s to a season of simple moments, messy benches, warm ovens, and recipes that make everyone feel included. 💗

What’s something you’d love a gluten-free version of this Christmas?

Holidaying as a coeliac hits a little different… Most families pack swimmers, beach towels and snacks. Meanwhile, I’m over here fitting a toaster into the ute like it’s a life-saving medical device 🧳🔥😂 But here’s the truth: When someone in your family has coeliac disease, cross-contamination isn’t just “annoying” - it can ruin an entire holiday. One crumb in a shared toaster… and we’re dealing with days of pain, reactions, and anxious little tummies. So yes… the toaster comes with us. It’s not about being dramatic. It’s about keeping our kids safe, healthy and actually able to enjoy their holiday. And if you’re a coeliac family too, you get it. You’ve probably packed half your kitchen at least once 😅✨Tell me… what’s the most random gluten-free item you’ve ever packed for a holiday? Let’s make every coeliac family feel a little less alone. 💛

If you’ve ever wondered why I make a roast chicken every single week… this is the reason right here. 🥣✨ Once that Sunday roast is done, I never let the bones go to waste. I pop them straight into a pot, cover with water, add a splash of apple cider vinegar… and let it all simmer low and slow. Why the vinegar?Because it gently helps draw out more of the good stuff… the collagen, the minerals, and all the nourishing bits hiding in the bones. It’s not magic, but it does help your broth turn into that gorgeous jelly when it cools… which is exactly what we want! 🙌💛 Bone broth has been a game-changer for our family: ✔️ Gentle on little tummies ✔️ Packed with minerals ✔️ Amazing for skin, gut health, and immunity ✔️ The perfect base for soups, risottos, gravies, or even sipping warm from a mug. It’s one of those simple weekly habits that makes such a big difference, and honestly, it feels good knowing I’m using every part of the roast. Do you make bone broth too? Or should I share my go-to method in a step-by-step? 👇✨ 🥣✨

Friday Funday… and you know exactly what that means in our house 🤭🍝✨ Movie night + a big cosy pot of gluten-free, dairy-free spag bol! It’s one of our go-to Friday traditions because: ✔️ Everyone eats it ✔️ No complaints ✔️ AND the kids get their veggie boost without even realising it (mum win 💁‍♀️🥕🍅) I swear, there’s something magical about ending the week with bowls of comfort food, blankets everywhere, and the kids arguing over which movie to pick. These are the memories I want them to grow up with. ❤️ Tell me… what’s your Friday night tradition? 🍝✨

Last day of school for us tomorrow… and it’ll be a big day for as. As next year we’re officially stepping into our homeschooling journey… and honestly, moments like this make it feel so right for our family. Miss 8 walked in the door after school today and, like she does most afternoons, headed straight for the kitchen. No prompts. No help. Just pure joy. And this is what she whipped up… totally solo 🙌 One of the biggest reasons we’re choosing homeschooling is to give her more space to lean into the things she loves… baking, creating, experimenting, learning through real life. When I see her confidence growing like this, it just confirms we’re choosing the right path. Here’s to a new chapter filled with curiosity, independence, and a whole lot of flour on the benches ✨👩‍🍳💛

Gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free & kid-approved… and guaranteed to disappear fast!

Anyone else doing a freezer stock-up before holidays hit? 🙋‍♀️

You know I’ve been hesitant about sharing videos and images of my girls… but this morning I caught something so beautiful, I just had to share it with the community.

We’ve baked together since they were tiny babies in highchairs. But when we discovered Ruby was GF and DF, we stopped. Everything suddenly felt hard, overwhelming and honestly… a bit defeating.

This is why I’m here… to share our journey with you. Because we pushed through that difficult stage, we experimented, we cried over failed recipes, and we kept going.

And now… look at this moment. Pure joy. Pure connection. Pure “we made it through.”

If our messy, real-life baking can make your GF/DF world feel even a little easier, then every post is worth it. Here’s to more moments like this… simple, real, and full of heart. 💛✨

Once upon a time, I knew someone who used to put dark chocolate in their spaghetti bolognaise… 🍫🍝Every single time I make it, I still think of them! It got me wondering… what do YOU put in your spag bol that makes it “yours”? 👀 A secret ingredient? A family twist? Something a little unusual? And while we’re here… how many veggies do you reckon I’ve hidden in this batch? If you guessed 8, you’re spot on! 🙌 Because if I can sneak nutrition into my kids without them noticing… you bet I will. Tell me your secret additions below… I’m always up for new ideas!👇
