Only 9 Camphor Laurel pens left 🌿🖊️

Camphor Laurel was one of Syd’s favourite timbers to work with. He loved its character, its grain and, of course, that unmistakable smell when it’s being turned.

Syd also lived in Toowoomba for many years, where Camphor Laurel lines many of the streets. While it’s often considered a w**d elsewhere, in Toowoomba it has become part of the landscape and the memories of the place.

So these pens feel pretty special to us.

A timber Syd loved, from a place that was home to him, now turned into something that can be carried and enjoyed for years to come.

I never expected making pens to give me so much.

Not just the skills, but confidence, connection, purpose and something I genuinely love doing.

I hope everyone gets to find something they’re passionate about, something that gives back as much as you put into it.

For me, that’s this.

Find something you love. Then pour yourself into it. ❤️

A pen can be so much more than something you write with. ❤️

It can sign a wedding certificate, mark a special moment, become a gift to someone you love, and one day be passed down to the next generation.

That’s what makes making these so special to us.

Every pen has a story. We just get to help write the next chapter.

We don’t just make pens. We think about pens, talk about pens, dream about pens and somehow we still want to make more after a full day of work.

Syd started us on this journey, but somewhere along the way, we fell completely in love with it.
