Cheese & Bacon Scrolls 🥓🧀

One of those little kitchen jobs that doesn’t feel particularly exciting at the time… but makes life so much easier later.

I made a batch of homemade cheese and bacon scrolls and, instead of baking them straight away, popped them into the freezer ready for those days when I need lunches in a hurry.

The dough came together in the Thermomix® without much fuss, then it was simply a matter of rolling it out, adding the cheese and bacon, rolling it up and slicing into individual scrolls.

And this is exactly why I love freezer prep.

I didn’t actually have time to bake them today — and that’s okay.

They’re now sitting in the freezer, ready for another day when I’m short on time, need something for lunchboxes, or simply don’t feel like starting from scratch.

There’s something very satisfying about doing a little bit of work before you need it. Future me is going to be very grateful. 😂

And because they’re homemade, I know exactly what’s gone into them, and I can make a batch to suit what we actually eat at home.

This is another one of those reasons I love using my Thermomix® for everyday life. It’s not just about cooking dinner tonight — it’s about making tomorrow a little bit easier too.

If you’d love to see how much you can prep ahead with a Thermomix®, come along to one of my free demos. No pressure at all, just a cuppa and a proper look at what it can do in your own kitchen.

And if you’ve ever thought about doing what I do and sharing this with others, I’m always happy to have a chat about that too. ❤️

Tell me — what’s your favourite thing to have waiting in the freezer for a busy day?

A Kitchen Toolkit I Didn’t Know I Needed 🔪✨

Sometimes it’s the little extras that make you appreciate something even more.

I’ve been having a proper look at the new Thermomix® Ultimate Kitchen Knives & Toolkit, and I have to say… this is a very handy addition for anyone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen.

It comes beautifully packed in a roll-up case, so everything has its own place and can be stored away neatly when you’re finished.

And it’s not just a couple of knives.

The toolkit includes a Thermomix® 18cm Chef’s Knife, 8cm Paring Knife, Brunch Knife, Serrated Peeler, Kitchen Shears and the Ultimate Toolkit Case.

So whether you’re chopping vegetables, slicing bread, peeling, snipping herbs or doing those everyday prep jobs, you’ve got the right tool ready to go.

What I particularly love is that the knives are made from premium stainless steel and proudly made in Solingen, Germany, a place well known for quality knife-making.

And the roll-up case? ❤️

Such a simple idea, but I love it.

Everything stays together, it’s easy to store, and you can even take the toolkit with you when you’re cooking somewhere else.

Because having a Thermomix® doesn’t mean you stop using your other kitchen tools. It’s about having the right tools working together to make food prep easier, quicker and more enjoyable.

And honestly, there’s something very satisfying about opening up a neatly organised toolkit and having everything you need right there. 😂

If you’d like to have a closer look at the new toolkit and see what’s included, come along to one of my free Thermomix® demos. You can have a cuppa, ask questions and see how everything works together, no pressure at all.

Which one would you use the most… the chef’s knife, brunch knife, peeler or kitchen shears? 👇

From Rock Salt to Table Salt 🧂✨

Something as simple as making table salt from rock salt might not seem like a big deal… until you realise you can do it yourself in the Thermomix®.

What started as chunky rock salt went straight into the bowl, and with a quick grind, it was transformed into a much finer salt that’s ready to use in the kitchen.

No food processor to get out. No extra appliance taking up space. No transferring things between different bowls. Just rock salt, the Thermomix®, and a few seconds of grinding.

And this is one of those little things I love about having a Thermomix®.

It’s not always about making an elaborate dinner or following a complicated recipe. Sometimes it’s simply being able to take something you already have and change it into exactly what you need.

I also love being able to control the texture myself. Want it finer? Grind it a little more. Prefer a bit more texture? Stop sooner.

It’s these little everyday jobs that make me appreciate how versatile it is.

Because once you start using your Thermomix® for more than just cooking recipes, you start seeing all the other things it can do around your kitchen.

And honestly… watching those chunky crystals turn into fine salt is strangely satisfying. 😂🧂

If you’d love to see what else the Thermomix® can do beyond the recipes, come along to one of my free demos. No pressure at all — just a cuppa, a chat and a proper look at how it could fit into your kitchen.

And if you’ve ever thought about doing what I do and sharing this with others, I’m always happy to have a chat about that too. ❤️

Tell me — what is one pantry staple you’d love to be able to make yourself?

Monday morning done right. Waffles, made completely from scratch.

The batter came together in the Thermomix® in minutes, smooth and light, no lumps, no whisking by hand, no flour everywhere. Poured onto the waffle iron, golden and crisp on the outside, soft in the middle, and finished with a good drizzle of cream and syrup. This is the kind of breakfast that makes a lazy morning feel a bit special.

Here is what I love about mornings like this. Everything got weighed and mixed in the one bowl, so there was barely any cleaning up before we even sat down to eat. No separate mixing bowls, no measuring cups scattered across the bench, just one bowl, one spatula, and a batter ready to go.

And there is something so satisfying about knowing exactly what went into breakfast. Real ingredients, nothing from a packet mix, and still done in less time than you would think.

This is exactly why I love using mine for the little things, not just the big dinners. A proper homemade breakfast on a Sunday, made easy enough that it does not feel like a chore.

If you would love easy mornings like this in your own kitchen, come along to one of my free demos. No pressure at all, just a cuppa and a proper look at what it can do. And if you have ever thought about doing what I do, sharing all this with a lovely community, I am always happy to chat about that too.

Tell me, waffles or pancakes, which one wins in your house?

Nothing wasted in this kitchen. Stale bread had a job to do.

That is a whole loaf sliced up, ready to go, and about to become a bag of golden breadcrumbs instead of heading to the bin. Straight into the Thermomix®, blitzed in seconds, and just like that, a whole bag of homemade crumbs ready for the freezer.

Here is the thing about shop bought breadcrumbs. They are usually a small packet for a few dollars, full of who knows what, and gone before you know it. This bag right here cost me nothing but a few minutes and some bread that was about to go stale anyway. No waste, no unnecessary spend, and honestly, they taste so much better in crumbed chicken, meatballs, or a crunchy topping on a bake.

That is the little trick I love most about this machine. It is not just about the big flashy meals. It is about the everyday habits that quietly save money and stop good food from going to waste. Ends of loaves, leftover bread, even slightly stale rolls, all of it can become something useful instead of landfill.

Pop it in a bag, label it, and into the freezer it goes, ready whenever a recipe calls for crumbs.

If you would love to pick up little tricks like this, come along to one of my free demos. No pressure at all, just a cuppa and a proper look. And if you have ever thought about doing what I do, sharing all this with a lovely community, I am always happy to chat about that too.

Tell me, does bread ever go stale in your house before you get to it?

Who says you cannot steam two whole chickens at once in your Thermomix®?

Two 1.5kg chickens, rubbed with herbs and seasoning, sitting side by side in the Varoma. One hour of steaming, no oven needed, no basting, no standing over a hot tray. Just set it, walk away, and come back to this. Tender, juicy, perfectly cooked chicken, done in one go.

This is the kind of everyday proof I love sharing. People assume the Varoma is only good for veggies or small portions, but it can genuinely handle a big family feed. Two whole chickens means plenty of meat for tonight's dinner plus leftovers for sandwiches, wraps, or a quick soup later in the week.

And because it is steamed rather than roasted, you get incredibly moist meat without any fuss. No checking the oven every ten minutes, no worrying about it drying out. The machine does the work, you get your evening back.

So if you have been told a Thermomix® could not possibly feed a hungry household, let this be your proof. It absolutely can, and then some.

If you would love to see what else it can handle for a big family, come along to one of my free demos. No pressure at all, just a cuppa and a proper look. And if you have ever thought about doing what I do, sharing all this with a lovely community, I am always happy to chat about that too.

Tell me, would two chickens at once surprise you or is this old news?
