This last weekend has proven very inspirational as we toured over to Tenterfield & joined about 2000 others, all to see Carolyn Robinson’s magnificent garden, “Eagles Bluff”. It’s fair to say that it blew us away. The reel here tries to capture a sense of the combination of the fresh winds & all the living green garden forms waving around. It was an immensely calming experience that we would love to emulate more back home here on our own farm.
We ran into friends from Melbourne to Brisbane, met some fab people, marvelled at the numbers of Teslas & Orotons out there in the wild and overall had a ball. Thoroughly recommend. Field and Flower Swan Bay

This year we are trying a different tack with the dahlias. We’ve left some in the ground and then done the usual dig up -> dry storage -> replant. It’s all a bit of a trial to see if we can spread the magnificent flowering season for longer. We have planted in waves every six/five weeks since then and things are looking good in the ground. The proof will be in the pudding though!

October really is the month of change & just in time for some very welcome rain, we’ve just dropped 2000 seedlings & seeds in the beds. And already, our first summer flowers are here with Zinnias and Sunflowers coming on strong! So stay tuned to see what we’re shipping out to Spar East Lismore tomorrow!
