It has been an amazing world-wind trip of Hong Kong to Shenzen to Dongguan then back again.

Dongguan (meaning working world) where everyone goes to work like an industrial city they go to work for a roster like our mining world, Shenzen to walk through immigration to China and then Busing to Kowloon then Hong Kong.

Long days with factory tours, vip treatment and entertainment to show us the best of their country.

Absolutely amazing but very tired.

Lots of respect of Chinese and nothing like the stereotype from what we saw. The factories were clean, very spaced out and the staff were mature age.

They are specialists in their job and do the same thing day in day out to ensure quality control. Conditions are remarkable and much better in cleaniness compared to some factories and businesses I have experienced in Australia.

Norman Australia (Neinmade) are a remarkable company and they very much align with my business practices and quality. The CEO for the company world wide knows every process of his business and every fact and quality standard. He hosted us personally the whole time - dined with us, listened to our feedback and how to improve their product and processes for the Australian market.

I am so pleased to have been able to come and experience this opportunity.

I’m finally at my destination for 3 days, Dongguan, 2hrs outside of Hong Kong.

Yesterday was an eye opener and lots of modes of transport to get to my destination!

Leaving the Sunshine Coast by coach 1.5hrs to Brisbane airport, a 8.5hr flight to Hong Kong, through immigration and customs then a bus pick up to Chinese border approx 45mins then we had to walk through the immigration gates there approx 45mins, then bus met on other side to take to our hotel 1hr. 😅

The architecture is amazing. I never had an interest to come to China but this opportunity presented itself and I have a renewed respect and my eyes wide open🫶🏼

The hotel is amazing in such grandness and I look forward to my visit to the Neinmade (Norman) factory to see how their blind and shutter products are made, then their strict quality controls and processes.

So exciting day today! 😁

Off to Hong Kong to visit a suppliers factory and how the production line and quality control runs for such a large worldwide company.

I have specified and installed their products for over 10 years. It will be so good to see the start of the process.
