Excuse our sick voices - we have been dying from Influenza A!! It is no joke people!

Back to my artwork…. I wanted to introduce my latest piece called “When the Gymea Lillies Return” - I wanted to incorporate a flower I hadn’t painted in a while into an artwork and when I researched Gymea Lillies I found that interestingly they take between 8-15 years to mature and then after maturing may only flower 2-5 years depending on their living conditions. I liked the idea of the bush waiting for the Lillies to return and throwing them a welcome party to celebrate their arrival! This artwork is about reunion, celebration and returning of an old friend.
