A little custard experiment with a nostalgic twist.

💜 Adding Violet Crumble drinking powder to custard was today’s fun kitchen experiment — all in the name of making magnesium tablets a little easier for Nan to take.

After two months in hospital, she’s finally home and in our care, so we’re finding all the little ways to make things enjoyable again. 🥹✨

Tried a new coffee frappe thanks to the ai assistant - didn’t mind the whipped consistency but it wasn’t hitting the sweetness for me so after some sugar free caramel syrup and some chocolate almond milk, it was perfect

Tonight’s dinner was a proper “use what we’ve got” Thermie meal 😍🙌

I made the Cookidoo Cheats “cassoulet”, but of course gave it my own little twist! Instead of just tomato paste, I did half tomato paste + half BBQ sauce, added sweet potato, and swapped out the pancetta, pork steaks and pork sausages for beef sausages, ham and leftover veggie omelettes.

Basically… the recipe said cassoulet, but my fridge said “make it work” 😂❤️

And honestly? It worked. 👌
