A few more victorian inserts restored over the past few months, gone to they’re new homes, and a fresh new project from melbourne, an early art noveau insert, around the early 1900s with all original tiles, none of which are broken or damaged, with its original fire brick in tact coming from an old home in preston, will do up very nicely

Before and after of the victorian insert that came from the Peterborough pub in sa, pressure washed the old paint off, sanded and repaired the brick which was broken, and has since been sold to a custin warrnambool

The end result, very very happy with how it come up! The red in the cedar really comes out and looks amazing!

Halfway through restoring this gorgeous old chest of drawer’s, the last picture is what it was when i got it, doesnt look bad in a photo but in person, lots of scratch marks, dints, many worn out spots in the varnish, and even many places where kids had marked imprints with pens ect, the whole lot is been taken back to bare timber, and the grain in the wood presents amazing! Not sure on what its made from yet, but will look incredible once clear coated. Is original from the early 1900s

A new project today, plenty of cool history with this one, originally from 1879 when the Peterborough pub in South Australia was first built, it was installed in the main bar area of the pub, until 1965 when the pub burnt down and this was salvaged from the wreckage, the pub has since been rebuilt but not to its original form from 1879, this then sat in a shed for 40 odd years and was passed onto a fella after his parents passed away, in which they inherited it off past family members, he then moved to melbourne and has kept it up until today, where its now going to be restored to its original and beautiful form in my shed! Awesome to be able to pinpoint and exact date and time when it was made, and exactly where it came from.
