A wonderful morning spent sharing my practice and PhD research with this lovely group of people at .

Topics ranged from reuse, recycling, upcycling, the complexity of the fashion and textile industry, responsibility, transparency, the use of problem materials, referencing the past and translating approaches and ideas into contemporary practice, the next generation of designers and makers, and how to make sense of it all!

So lovely to see and , and to meet in person.

Thank you for having me !

Sharing this beautiful exhibition from that I was able to see before travelling up to Aalborg for the PLATE2025 Conference. It was wonderful to see hand printed fabric being celebrated in this beautiful space. There were drawers upon drawers of colourful patterned swatches - a textile designer’s dream! And a tree filled garden in the middle of the building for when a little rest is required between rooms.

Resampler One is in the world!

Responding to the challenge my PhD poses to revalue discarded bed linen, using donated bedlinen from , and inspired by two special pieces held in the archive, Resampler One brings textile tradition and innovation together.

She was not a straightforward piece to make and I’m still recovering from the drama 😝

I’d love to see you at the opening of Threading Lightly, where Resampler One will be on display amongst many other incredible textile works.
