Those of you who know me know that I love to make albums (thanks Gail Ellis for the tutorial). Recently my husband’s goddaughter lost her Granddad. I decided to make her an album to put photos of her Granddad in. This album is a little different to the others I have created. Usually I create an album around a pack of paper and a set of stamps/dies but with this one I included things Ricky’s goddaughter liked to do with her Granddad or just things she likes. I have always been a card maker, not a scrapbooker, but when Stampin Up started offering more scrapbooking supplies I thought I would give it a go. I always struggle with coming up with a design. Over the weekend I decided I would try again and this time found a sketch from Creative Memories that would work with the photos I had. I found this much easier (although it is still difficult picking the right elements to use) and I am really happy with this double page spread I produced.

This morning I was up early to take part in Creativity Now, a virtual event for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. We made projects using the Painted Collage Suite and the Collage Botanicals Stamp set which we received for free when we registered for the event.

To begin with I was very unsure about this suite as it is very different from my usual style but after creating these projects and seeing what other demonstrators have done with it I am keen to make more projects with the suite.

We created 4 projects. The first used watercolouring and we made a handmade envelope. The second project was a card with a space for a gift card. The third project was two 6” x 8” scrapbook pages. The final project was a banner. The original banner did not have the letters on it but when showed the alternate project I loved the addition of the letters.
