🎉 Celebration time! 🎉

My painting Quiet Breeze has found its forever home, and just look how beautifully it’s settled in! 💙 The lovely collector who bought it was kind enough to send me this photo of it hanging in their space, and I can’t stop smiling.

There’s something incredibly special about seeing one of my pieces out in the world, living its best life on someone else’s wall. I still pinch myself when I think about how this whole painting journey started : just a fun idea to spend time with my mum, and now here we are. Every brushstroke in Quiet Breeze was guided by that calming Dayboro air, those soft winds that dance through the trees on a quiet afternoon. To know that feeling has now found a home and speaks to someone else? That means the world to me.

A massive thank you to this gorgeous collector for supporting my art and sending through this pic — it’s made my week!

💫 You can check out more of my available paintings at https://ivankapaints.com — and if you’ve got one of my pieces at home, I’d love to see where it’s landed. Just flick me a photo or tag me online!

Much love,
Ivanka xx

🖌️ Every time I stand in front of a blank canvas, it feels a bit like that moment back in primary school when my art teacher would drop a scribble on our page and say, “Go on, make something of it.” That freedom, that challenge, it stayed with me.

I’ve been painting almost daily for a while now, and I’m trying out everything from fluid pours to loose florals and soft watercolours. Each one teaches me something new, and I’m slowly finding my groove.

Still learning, still growing, still covered in paint most days and loving it.
Swipe to see a few styles I’ve been working on. Which ones do you love most?

The story of the evolution of a painting.
This is such a fun project! Challenging myself to use only one colour (a red) with white and black.
Building up the layers of the painting to tell a story and to add interesting components to make you connect to the painting.

The current version is the one with the black circle in the bottom right... what do you think?

BEACON OF LOVE
Created during the uncertain week of Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Beacon of Love captures a powerful contrast of hope amidst chaos.
Swirling blues and abstract forms reflect the turbulence of the storm, while a vibrant orange heart and soft white drips emerge as symbols of love and lightness.
This piece invites viewers to find resilience and warmth in the face of life’s storms—a perfect addition for those seeking art that inspires and uplifts.

In this painting I wanted to challenge myself in limiting the colours I use. Basically only a red, white and black.
It's still a Work in progress - more layers needed to build the depth and the story but I'm really liking the development of this piece.

How do you feel about this?

From little things, big things grow...I wanted the composition to work, so I did a practice-run in my sketchbook.

I'm back in the studio again - leaning into a more abstract way of expressing myself. I painted this piece in the week leading up to the ex-TC Alfred crossing into SEQ.

I love the colours of this piece!
AND.... it has a name: BEACON OF LOVE

It captures the emotional contrast of the stormy, uncertain backdrop (the blues and abstract swirls) with the hopeful, lighter touch of the heart and white drips, symbolising a softening or healing amidst the chaos.

UPDATE: This piece is now sold! 💖

This piece is a reminder to never give up. There is always another solution.... remember to find fun in the journey.

When I started this piece I had something totally different in mind, but obviously that wasn't meant to be. I wanted to work with the gold and olive green colours and once I added the dark background it really started to pop!

While this is a small painting (21x25cm approx.) it really packs a punch and lives up to its name: Fun shines through!

The beauty of the unexpected.

This painting started as something else - but that didn't work out and the colours blended together into this weird brown/grey colour.
So rather than feeling sorry for myself, I turned it into a cool background for something fun!
And this abstract flower appeared that reminds me of an eucalypt flower.

Sometimes I feel I'm just trying too hard, but the beauty of an art piece reveals itself in the most surprising ways!

The painting is small (25cm x 21cm) but it draws your attention through the bright happy colours.
