Red Jarrah, white Rock Maple and Black QLD Walnut...Jarrah now a protected species is just beautiful to work with and stare at...Another timber wood workers would be lucky to get their hands on as no longer milled...Super expensive but worth the opportunity to use...

Few boards on the oil...All the dark brown timber is some very ancient QLD Black Walnut from a secretive grandfathers stash...Rare and by chance timber to come by, sadly, unlikely to again...Multiply strip boards created with the last hoard of off cuts...

Nextdoor neighbour dad asked for a sword for his boy as he had one growing up in Brazil...The main timber is Northern Silky Oat from a 100+ year old class room window from near hometown Mackay...Red timber, Jarrah and centre dark brown timber, Tasmania Black Wood...No plans drawn or guides watched to make, just transferability of prior knowledge and learning by mistakes...Will make a few more and of course one for The Nid who selected a rather pinkish Southern Silky Oak and helped glue up with some Jarrah and Rock Maple today...

Always a good day when finding knarly clumps of flame sheoak on the work bench from someone never met but loves the work... After some Tom foolery with the thicknesses, they came up beautifully...Thank you to the person who gifted them, psychedelic use will be made...

Went all out with this timber selection to make some regal AF XL chopping blocks...From stage right, USA Rock Maple, AUS Jarrah and USA Black Walnut...Though priceless to work with being beauitful timber, certainly far from priceless to purchase...Worth it, even if to just break even...

New iteration market stand...Mega flat pack dismantlable baord racks....Self designed on paper then digitalised and CNC'ed by ... Test run this Saturday 19th at Winter market 11am to 9am, way past bed time though should be a good one...Oh, and a rather neo techno clock

Long work in progress and somewhat a mistake...Rear second layer is mostly resin fill as the timber was rather thin on...By human error and absent mindedness, the resin was a little soft and needed to be sliced back a good 13mm...Not to worry...Work something out...Might shave back the front face to bring out more green and yellow, not sold as it looks...
