Meet our members! 💕

This is the lovely Penny Malone, 38 year old born and bred Esperance Cowgirl! 👌🏾

Riding since she was two, Penny spent all her youth show jumping and eventing and in her early 20s moved to Perth with hopes of jumping but her horse had other plans so they found something he did like and he became her number one barrel horse!

Penny has four horses! 👇🏾👇🏾

🐴 Coke a brown 21yo TB gelding that I retired last year who is the one who started it all ❤️ I’ve had him since he was 6 off the track.

🐴 Harry a Palomino 15yo QH gelding roper turned barrel turned lead line horse for my 3yo son

🐴 Hito a grey 18yo TB gelding i got off the track and turned into a rope horse but I hardly rope anymore so he’s just a spoilt paddock ornament

🐴 Lyric a grey 9yo QH mare that my mum owns but I took her on last year and have just started her on barrels

Other than tin spinning, Penny does a lot of team penning with the local club!

🐴 It’s for everyone no matter what level your at in your barrel racing, whether you’re just learning, seasoning young ones, running the seasoned horses or teaching the tiny tots to ride, they have something for everyone

🐴 Everyone is so encouraging and helpful for each other

🐴 It’s always a great weekend packed full of fun at Apex

Her proudest moment is definitely winning a barrel race when there was a rodeo in her home town! 👌🏾
