A mixture of colour, pattern and texture. A brilliant opportunity to fill your home with warmth, personality and further that welcoming embrace of what it is to be, and more importantly, feel welcome.
Most certainly, there is an element of indulgence; selecting beautiful fabrics that complement each other and having a bedroom customised with cushions, lamps, lampshades and a bedhead. In doing so however, this ‘safe space’ is given more personality, one that reflects its owners and inhabitants. It gives us an opportunity to relax in this special environment, welcoming others and furthering that perceived embrace of not just say, a physical hug, but that gained from a smile, a kind word, a warm cup of tea even …
Featured in 2025 Mother’s Day campaign were two such rooms that we worked on. Of note, the above images reflect a curation of fabrics a particular favourite of the owner. The fringe on the lampshades a subtle nod to the beige in the feature fabric … also that additional element of texture that brings the room to life.
What a delight to see this so beautifully photographed. The addition of the blanket, adds that extra element of warmth and only furthers my own resolve that one’s home is constantly evolving, the understanding that we as humans change, so does our environment. A new photograph here, a trinket from our travels there, that beautiful blanket we received for Mother’s Day; all these adding layers and more personality to our interiors.
What exciting opportunities await us, personalising our homes to reflect us. Colour, pattern, texture - create a home filled with love, warmth and refuge from that fast paced life that is work, school drop offs, meetings, appointment, events and whatever else that fills our days!
