Exciting news! I’m joining the incredible in June this year as a studio holder. 🏠✨🥳

I’ve wanted to join this incredibly special community of artists since moving to Canberra, and I feel SO lucky to be joining the incredible group of studio holders.

Settled in an old school, this space reminds me so much of my beautiful Ballarat studio space that allowed me to grow and flourish as an artist, and my Footscray studio before that.

I’ve attended two years of open studios at and it is the most inspiring event of the year for me. Nothing spurs on my creativity like walking the hallways and poking my head into the studios of , , , , .art.workshop and SO many more!

Can’t wait to show you more when I’m there! While I get everything sorted, here’s a preview of my brand new work, ‘it’s ok, Mummy’.

Come and find a selection of my paintings at until November 9 at at the stand!

There are hundreds of artworks to see - if not thousands! - and so many beautiful artists and galleries to discover in one place.

I’ll be on the stand with Tyger tomorrow from about 10am until midday, so if you’re in Sydney come say hello!

Utterly speechless and thankful for this opportunity which wouldn’t be possible without Martyn and the Tyger crew who brought everything here from their gallery in Yass and are running the stand all weekend pulling massive hours.

Also very excited to announce that a work has already sold - AH! 🥳✨

Thank you to everyone who visited my exhibition, Landscapes of Motherhood at 💕.

The exhibition is now closed, and paintings have found their new homes with wonderful humans far and wide.

Onto the next big dream now, and back to painting and drawing again.

Last day tomorrow ✨

Tomorrow is the last day to see ‘Landscapes of Motherhood’ before my ‘babies’ come home to me!

Thank you to everyone who has picked up a painting, come to visit the exhibition or sent kind words of love and support. I’m so proud of this body of work, and am so energised to keep painting.

There are a few left to purchase, and I can’t wait to show you all where they are off to next.

I’ve had so many lovely conversations with people about the work, and the other exhibitions currently on at the Gallery. So grateful for this opportunity.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the opening at on Thursday 7 August. I’ll be sitting the gallery on Saturday 23 August and Sunday 24 August if you’d like to stop by for a chat and a private tour ❤️.

I also wanted to say a particularly huge thank you to Billie for making it through to speeches at 6:30 (even stealing the mic for a moment!), Ben my partner for the love, support and calming my nerves all day, the crew who allowed me space to hang my art on their walls and all the support along the way, to who gave me a thousand pep talks and reminded me it was important to paint my edges, beautiful for helping me install and tell the story of my work in a way I never could have, to .robjent and .au for coming out on a school night with the sweetest gift of yellow flowers and being my absolute rocks through the last nearly two years I’ve been in Canberra and to the sneaky sneaky and .today for driving all day just to be there on opening night (still in shock guys) 😭❤️ ( of course there in spirit and beautiful hand drawn flowers I carried around).

Completely overwhelmed still, and really proud to have hit this milestone of a first solo show in Canberra. This feels like the start of something very special. 💕

Numbers are on the wall. Paintings are hung. Landscapes of Motherhood opens tonight!

These paintings are the moments of my journey of motherhood I don’t want to forget, captured in paint and colours, hopefully creating a response from you too. What do you see in the hills today? What memory or emotion do you feel?

These are colours I never thought I’d use, on canvases I never thought I’d paint, for an exhibition I never thought I’d have, about a life full of experiences I wasn’t sure I’d ever get to live.

Come watch me be a crying mess at my solo exhibition opening at on Thursday August 7 from 6pm. I’ll try my best to say a few words.

The work I’ve made for this exhibition is a break through. It’s a movement and a change to another level of painting for me that I wasn’t sure I’d ever reach. Organic and soft, warm and loose and full of unexpected twists, turns and colours. I’m laying it all on the canvas.

This painting has become so special to me. It will be part of my exhibition at opening Aug 7, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to say goodbye if it catches someone’s eye.

So, what sits inside this painting? It’s cold morning where your eyes don’t want to open but you hear their beautiful voice call for you. It’s the melancholy and grief and pain of packing away another size of your babies clothes. It’s every time you just can’t get them to eat the food, put on the jacket or get in the car followed by every time it’s not an issue and you don’t know why. It’s the first time they smile, the first laugh, the first fear, the first scraped knee, the first grab on your hand with a ‘come play with me’.

Up and down, go the horses on the merry go round that we ride so often now.

Life’s journey is full of whiplash of emotions. These paintings let me process and I hope as you view them you find a place to rest your mind on a hillside, take a deep breath and keep hiking on.
