There’s something really special about taking a lump of clay and turning it into whatever you want it to be. It’s calming, creative, and such a beautiful way to get to know the clay with your own two hands.

Meet Ebonnie 🤎

She has been working with clay for just over two years and is a wheel girl through and through. One of her favourite pieces she’s made is a Japanese dragon mug, brought to life with carefully built details and slip-trailed touches, so if you’re a GOT or HOTD fan, you’ll definitely want to check out her work 🐉✨

She’d love to create a big statement vase one day, and if her dragon mug is anything to go by, we already know it’ll be incredible.

Her advice for anyone learning ceramics? Keep your hands as steady as you can, trust the process, and remember that practice really does make all the difference.

Our 6-week sculptural hand-building course is back with pamela chaves! whether you’re completely new to clay or wanting to build your skills, this one’s all about slowing down, getting creative and learning how to make bigger sculptural pieces by hand.

you’ll learn everything from coiling and slab building to carving, burnishing and glazing — with plenty of guidance along the way ✨
