MAGIC BEACH

A special chapter in the Minted story.

Located on the Mid-West coast of WA, Magic Beach is a deeply personal project belonging to our Founder, Tess, and her family.

Rooted in nostalgic childhood memories of reading Alison Lester’s ‘Magic Beach’ and shaped by a regional farming life lived in the wheatbelt and goldfields, and along reefs near Esperance and Geraldton - this project captures the true essence of regional beachside roaming.

A Minted curation of enduring, raw regional materials—lofty exposed-beam ceilings, natural stone walls, quartzite benchtops, and genuine French oak floors—with intuitive spatial design built for a modern family elevated living lifestyle.

A sneak peek of the Minted design specifications - and the incredible personal one-off stories of our clients - coming to life in our studio.

Currently we have residential, boutique accommodation and bespoke hospitality long term, repeat treasured clients and a few newer ones. Projects in Esperance, Albany, Ongerup, Perth, Tammin, Bluff Point, Tarcoola Beach, Woorree and Geraldton spanning new build, renovation, landscape design, furnishing fit out and interior design project.

After 12 years of design and project experience we understand that client trust alongside aspirational, personal concept development, meticulous millimetre-by-millimetre design specification, tested procurement and collaborative independent project stewardship, are all non-negotiable features of achieving the elevated Minted standard.

The immense love and dedication our Minted studio team pour into every single project, forms a special creative and personal bond with each story and client. It’s a Santorini mood, not a moment 🤍

From an exposed driveway to a deeply soulful, sun-drenched Santorini sanctuary.

This architectural arbour dining area was designed to screen the practicalities of a driveway and completely reframe the lifestyle footprint of the home.

The rugged, weathered reclaimed timber specified as a proud nod to our clients’ rich Wheatbelt and Mid West heritage. The structure and custom upholstery designed millimeter by millimetre to deliver layered atmosphere, comfort and an elevated living lifestyle.

Minted project stewardship walking the site, collaborating with dedicated local craftsmanship, and refining the vision until it perfectly delivers daily peace.

Now, it stands as an oasis built for the art of hosting and enjoying well spent time together. Where long, relaxed, shaded afternoons with friends and family effortlessly bleed into unforgettable evenings.

PRE-MINTED SANTORINI SITE

After a decade of designing interiors and landscapes we know the biggest challenge in a space often presents the ultimate Minted opportunity.

In Santorini’s case the original pre-Minted site was home to an eyesore terraced retaining wall along the biggest boundary - a significant sight line of the backyard influencing the entire atmosphere of the space.

Minted’s design specification proposed a sequence of statement architectural arches set against heavy creeping greenery, to make the existing structure disappear over time while delivering the ultimate Mediterranean atmosphere.

The boundary eyesore is now Santorini’s jewel - transformed into an emotive and unforgettable cathedral of arched light, set against a lush green wall - shifting the original atmosphere completely with considered structure, shadow and scale.

McAullay Builders skilfully engineered the arches using locally sourced boat metal. This resourceful design solution integrated a material intrinsic to the heritage of the region, celebrating both the history of the place and the exceptional craftsmanship of the local people who make it so special.

Rigorous Minted design specification, value engineering, project stewardship and personalised meaning; meet the dedicated heart of local craftsmanship - the Minted standard.

SANTORINI ~ a heartfelt Mediterranean love letter to regional Australia, set on the coast of Midwest WA.

Imploring you to slow down and stay a while.

A very special Minted portfolio landscape project in collaboration with clients and McAullay Builders.

Explore the elevated living result of Minted technical design specifications, collaborative stewardship and the sublime bespoke global finishes, furniture and lighting. Breathing life and meaningful feeling into this incredible experience along side local trade craftsmanship, pushing the boundaries of elevated living possibility.

~ 4-meter high monumental arches cast shifting poetic shadows in filtered cathedral of light.
~ A custom Moroccan Zellige fireplace meeting the cool, jewelled aqua pool.
~ Reclaimed timber arbours shading a shutter feature wall for long relaxed lunches - the heart of sprawling hospitality made possible by the custom designed 6.5m upholstered seat, curving around like an inviting embrace.
~ Selenite form Marrakech casting twinkling light onto leafy foliage moving in the breeze.
~ An arch staircase, beckoning you to take an unexpected journey to an elevated courtyard with breath taking views.
~ Bespoke Italian feature tiles framed by sublime travertine, soft textural white Santorini render and climbing jasmine and hot pink bougainvillea.

• 4-meter monumental Santorini arches cast poetic shadows like a sun dial as the day moves on.
• A Moroccan Zellige fireplace meets the cool serenity of aqua water.
• Reclaimed timber arbours shade long lunches and wait for a canopy of bougainvillea to envelope.
• Selenite form Marrakech glows a twinkling light onto leaves subtly moving in the breeze.
