The last couple of years growing a business has felt overwhelming and challenging. I was so focused on this ā€œend gameā€ that I forgot how to enjoy the journey!! Which is where the fun, magic and growth happens.

In the last couple of weeks, Iā€™ve felt a huge shift and have uncovered some limiting beliefs that werenā€™t serving me. Iā€™ve let them go and I feel so free šŸ’ƒ

Business gets to be FUN
Business gets to be EASY
Yes it makes life full but it also makes life exciting
Yes it means work but it also means opportunity!

The biggest mindset shift has been to simply stop caring what anyone else thinks so I can show up authentically, to own my talents, experience and strengths and go for it in a way that feels free, fun and exciting.

Iā€™ve let go of my attachment to the outcome here.

Fun and connection is the goal. Success is inevitable šŸ˜œ

One of the first pieces I flipped for profits was an old coffee table I found on the side of the road.

I spruced it up in an hour (no idea what I was doing at this point) and sold it on gumtree on a whim for $200 within 24 hrs of listing.

Since then Iā€™ve flipped hundreds of pieces and created a profitable business out of my passion from the comfort of my garage. The convenience of this whilst raising kids has been such a gift šŸ’

Let this be your reminder to try the thing. You never know where it could lead!

PSA!!

Iā€™ve never done this before but I know times are really tough for a lot of people right now and I know how much joy and fulfilment furniture flipping can create for people so I wanted to give back by offering a massive sale on my beginner Flip N Sip classes.

Maybe this is the sign youā€™ve been looking for to finally get started!

Getting hands on experience and putting things into practice is the best (and only) way to truly start getting the skills and confidence you need!

Then itā€™s up to you if youā€™ll enjoy it as a creative hobby or a profitable side hustle ā™»ļøšŸŽØāœØ

My only regret with this one was that I didnā€™t sell it for more, but thatā€™s the exciting thing about flipping furniture, testing the market and seeing what sells šŸ˜

I loved this piece so much and with the response I got on marketplace, it seemed to really appeal to my local demographic which was a surprise because we are coastal (sometimes it pays to try different things!)

If youā€™ve been curious about how much you can make flipping furniture for profits, I hope this content is helpful for you.

Keep in mind that time is money when it comes to flipping for profits. Iā€™ve been doing this for over 10 years so Iā€™m pretty efficient and confident with all my techniquesā€¦ it may take you a little longer at first but the more you practice, the quicker you get.. meaning the more you make.

Itā€™s not about taking short cuts, itā€™s about choosing pieces that tick all the boxes in terms of profitability.. are the bones good? Is the price right? Is their potential for a unique design composition? Are you using time saving methods and products? Are you staging it to maximise buyer appeal and finding the right pricing sweet spot for a fast sale?

Lots to ponder but considering it used to take me two days to earn $495, Iā€™m happy šŸ˜

Iā€™ve been hiding šŸ™ˆ

Myself, my story, my thoughts, my flipping beliefs and general beliefs ā€¦ in fear of judgement šŸ’­

But what Iā€™ve realised recently is that all of those parts of me and my journey, even the messy parts are what make me human and what make connection possible! Which is the reason we are truly all here for.

Iā€™ve spent years self-sabotaging my potential on social media, making every excuse under the sun why itā€™ll never work for me, or why I canā€™t be successful.

But Iā€™m done playing small and shout out to Jessi Jean for the inspiration and realising all of this! (I am on the next yap challenge waitlist girlfriend!)

Some people look at others and feel jealousy but I look at them and think ā€œlook whatā€™s possibleā€.
