And here it is — finished, framed, and ready to go home 🤍
The final piece, styled and standing proud. Every bloom from the bouquet preserved in full 3D and laid into a 40x40 frame to be enjoyed for years to come.
To Anna, the beautiful bride who trusted me with her flowers — thank you. It's a privilege to be handed something so meaningful and given the job of preserving it. I never take that lightly 🤍

How good do these look? 🤍Freshly out of the silica and honestly, they almost look like they're still on the bouquet.

This is exactly why I love this method. Silica dries each bloom in full 3D, holding the shape, the texture, every fold of every petal. No flattening, no pressing — just lifelike flowers, captured almost exactly as they were.

It never gets old seeing them come out like this 🤍

From her hands on the day, to her wall 🤍
Soft creams and whites — roses, lisianthus, stocks and carnations — preserved in full 3D and set into a 40x40 frame.
Delicate to work with. Timeless once it’s done.

Ever wondered what actually happens to your bouquet once it reaches me? 🤍
The part most people don't expect: I deconstruct the entire bouquet, bloom by bloom. Every flower is taken apart, placed face-up in silica sand, and then gently buried — petal by petal — so it holds its shape while it dries.

It's slow, careful work. There's no rushing it and no shortcuts. But that's exactly why the blooms come out looking so lifelike — captured in full 3D, almost exactly as they were on the day.

This beautiful bouquet was carried down the aisle here in Queensland by a bride who lives in Melbourne. After the wedding, her blooms came straight to me for preserving.
The palette was all soft creams and whites — roses, lisianthus, stocks and carnations. White bouquets are some of the most delicate to preserve. The tones shift to soft champagne and ivory as they dry, and you can't hide a single imperfection. But when they're done right, there's nothing more timeless. The finished piece is now on its way down south.

✨ Shine the light on... chrysanthemums ✨
Starting a new series where I share what I’ve actually learned preserving different flowers — wins, fails, and everything in between.
First up: chrys. In my experience the petals tend to drop in silica unless the blooms are very fresh, or you’ve got a sturdier variety. Pompon chrysanthemums and spider chrysanthemums have broken my heart before 🥀
This time I’m trying single (daisy) chrysanthemums to see how they fare. Fresh, flat petals, good attachment to the centre — but I honestly don’t know how it’ll turn out. That’s the fun part.
I’ll uncover them in a couple of weeks and report back 💜
Save this if you want to know what preserves well.

A little colour to break up all the whites and creams I’ve been working with lately 💜 These chrysanthemums are tucked into a bed of silica for the next few weeks. Now I wait, the slow part of the job.

Brenda's roses didn't have the easiest journey to me. They arrived a bit droopy and browning around the edges — which can happen, especially with white roses in the Queensland heat.

But I could see there was still life in a handful of them. I carefully selected the ones that had the best chance, dried them and arranged them into this glass dome with the original satin ribbon at the base.

Not every flower survives the trip from the wedding to my studio, and I'll always be honest about that. But when you can save even a few and turn them into something beautiful — that's the part that makes this work so rewarding.

The white has softened to a warm ivory, which gives them this gorgeous antique feel under the glass. I'm really proud of how this one turned out.

She carried them. Now she keeps them.
Brenda’s white rose bouquet preserved into a glass dome. The roses arrived with a bit of wear from the wedding — but the ones I could save dried beautifully into this warm ivory keepsake with her original satin ribbon.
Not every flower makes it through, and I’ll always be upfront about that. But when they do — moments like this make it all worth it 🤍

Brenda's all-white rose bouquet by . No filler, no greenery, just bloom after bloom. Keeping it simple absolutely paid off.

This bouquet is now preserved and sitting in a glass dome keepsake. Tomorrow I'll share the reveal — you won't want to miss how these roses transformed.
