I've been finding it so hard to show up in this space.
The effort it takes to keep this business running is alot.
Not only is it pouring and rolling candles, packing them for orders and wholesalers and keeping up with every order (which is a blessing of course).
It's the marketing, the promoting. The content creating. Showing up for this business is alot.
Spending the time to think of new reel ideas, film them, put them together. Sticking on the right side of the algorithm is exhausting.
The frustrating thing? It's usually the low effort short reels that do the best, rather than the well thought out, videos that require more time and effort. Funny that.
I've decided to let go of keeping up with the algorithm. From here on out, I'll post what I want to post, and post when I want to.
I didn't start this business to replace a full time job (arguably I work more now then I did 😅). I'm a mother, who just wants to stay home with her babies.
I'm choosing to slow down, be more intentional with where I put my time and effort. Don't get it twisted. This business is still open and will be until the end of the year (until we close for baby time). I'm just being more intentional with what I share.
Engagement goes along way. A like, a comment or even a share helps support small businesses like myself. It's much appreciated 🤎
