One of my fav singers got married! carried Peonies.
Peonies represent a happy and passionate marriage. They also mean prosperity and wealth in some Asian cultures.
Earlier this year my daughter and I stood upfront at Howlin and my daughter got to shake Lainey’s hand , seeing her again a few nights later. Her energy and her love is such a great thing to witness. Congratulations to a wonderful couple. If you’re going to have your reception in a cave, this is how you do it!

Last month I attended the race day. In the 15 years of its operation, it is one event I have always tried to support . Pink Finns are doing amazing things for the individuals and family affected by cancer in the Hawkesbury community. Please check out Pink Finns Charity Website for the full details. I was thrilled that my Lily Pad Floral Design headpiece won best head piece (worn by my gorgeous friend) and honoured to win best dressed. My beautiful suit was purchased from to support the charity itself. If you’re in Windsor check it out. See you at the ball! Pictures courtesy of Pink Finns Charity

What did you think of the banquet table the King hosted?
Here’s some reasons why it looks the way it does.
Banquet Guests DO NOT talk across the table which is over six feet wide.
The flowers are huge in proportion to the table and the enormity of the room. Since HM King Charles Ill became Monarch he has decided the flowers should be British and arranged naturally only in water and wire mesh, to be eco compliant.
They are now arranged by a team of enthusiastic and talented arrangers based at Buckingham Palace.

Lily Pad sends heartfelt support to the operators of Loxley On Bellbird Hill. The sadness will be so widely felt among the industry and the community.
In the early 2000’s when operating in retail, Lily Pad was a preferred supplier to the venue for almost ten years. (before I set off to have children) I can not tell you how many times I have created on the back deck, placed table arrangements and stood in a Villa with an excited bridal party drawing in that beautiful Loxley outlook.
This loss is one I feel deeply after losing our home to fire last year.
What many might not know, is besides the historical significance of the Loxley’s structure , there is also trees that where seeded from the first fleet in the garden.
The attachment of memory to physical items has been something very difficult to explain over the past year, this loss will be so deeply understood by anyone who ever stood in Loxley and shared love and joy.
It’s more than a structure, it’s a place of bringing together all the most important people in your life.

So let’s jump on this bandwagon.
What does a professional florist see in this pic? The symbolism of the flowers, the construction techniques and the incredible NDA agreement that went with it!
So here’s a list of some of the symbolism in the design, because every Swiftie loves a back story to the love story. And ok, I’m sentimental and love anyone’s love story.

Roses-
Roses, especially when considering their colors, hold diverse symbolic meanings. In general, roses symbolize love, beauty, and passion.
White roses often represent purity, innocence, and new beginnings. Pink roses can signify grace, admiration, and gratitude.
Anemone-
Sometimes considered symbols of love and affection, especially in Victorian flower language. In ancient Greek tales, they sprung from the blood of Adonis mingled with the tears of Aphrodite, his lover.
Hydrangea-
various meanings, often depending on culture and color, generally representing heartfelt emotion, gratitude, apology, and abundance.
In Japan, it signifies sincere feelings and apology, while in Europe, it was once associated with arrogance and boastfulness, a sentiment now faded.
The color of the hydrangea adds specific layers to its meaning, with pink signifying love, blue representing gratitude and regret, white symbolizing purity and grace.
Allium-
Good fortune: Alliums are universally loved, not just by us humans but also by bees, butterflies and other insects, particularly when planted as part of a group. This is why they have come to symbolise good fortune - they bring joy, together.
Delphiniums-
‘big hearted’. Like many flowers, different colours of delphiniums often carry their own significance.
Nerines-
Pink nerines symbolize love, beauty, and strength, representing a powerful love from the heart, while also signifying resilience and the ability to overcome hardship, like the Guernsey Lily that survived a shipwreck. Additionally, their connection to Greek mythology links them to sea nymphs and protection for sailors, reflecting themes of freedom, connection, and affection.

Trends that come and go.
Fruit back on trend. Highlights table arrangements and offers texture. Great for an event or impact piece.

Fruit will shorten the lifespan of flowers, fruits release ethylene gas, which accelerates the aging process in flowers, leading to premature wilting and fading
