This is the bit of Tuckley that's ridiculously satisfying once you see it.

No stuffing it into corners. No shaking it around. No crawling inside trying to work out which corner you've somehow lost.

We redesigned the doona cover because making the bed really shouldn't require this much commitment.

Top sheet + bottom of doona cover.

Why do they need to be two separate pieces?

That question is basically how we ended up here.

Our Hybrid Layer does both jobs.

If you're a top-sheet person, it's still the beautiful fabric against your skin.

If you're NOT a top-sheet person, we haven't added another loose layer to your bed.

Same layer. Two jobs.

We've seen this comment a few times:

“But I like the comfort of my top sheet.”

ME TOO 🙋‍♀️

And I think this is something we haven't explained well enough.

We haven't taken away the lovely bit.

You still have that beautiful fabric directly against your skin. You still sleep under a sheet. You still have that layer between you and your doona.

What we've taken away is waking up with it down around your feet, half of it on your partner's side, and doing hospital corners just to convince the thing to stay put.

We kept the comfort. We connected the sheet.

I think we've been showing you The Cover all wrong 😬

So let's make this REALLY simple.

The Hybrid is the layer you sleep under. It does the job of your top sheet and the underside of your doona cover. Your own doona goes in the middle. Then the Cloud is the beautiful top of your doona cover.

And the Hybrid + Cloud zip together around it. That's it.

My mum Peg used to struggle every single day just making her own bed.

Tucking sheets in. Lifting the mattress. Waiting for dad to get home to help her.

So I did something about it.

I gave her The Base — our two-part fitted sheet system that locks to the mattress permanently, so she never has to lift or tuck anything again. When it needs a wash, only the top layer comes off.

Watching her make her own bed again, on her own, for the first time in a long time — that's exactly why we built this.

70 years, nobody touched the fitted sheet. We rebuilt it.

Why do we still lift the entire mattress just to change a sheet? 😩

Genuinely — 70 years of "fitted" sheets and nobody fixed this. So we did.
