New Pattern in the Gallant series, The Gallant Jacket by has just been released!

Made with bulky yarn, it works up quick which is great as the test knit began in time for me to have it ready for the unseasonal cold snap that brought Snow to Tassie!

I made this one with two strands of Patons Baby alpaca air held together for a beautifully soft and warm Jacket I'll be reaching for a lot this winter!!

The Aran Gallant by has been on my 'to do' list for at least 2 years! And last year I specifically bought this 100% Alpaca yarn while at Agfest Field Days, Tasmania

The colour is Apricot Delight, the name of the wonderful Alpaca at Toffeemont Alpacas who produced this amazingly soft yarn.

It's a bit special knowing this is a fully traceable hand knit sweater!

I actually have a few projects on the go of varying complexities and this sweater, in such lush yarn is a treat to work on as my 'go to' simple, easy focus project.

🎉 New Release 🎉 The Basic V light sweater by Minimi Knit Design

A new favourite of mine!

Design intends for lace and mohair held double however I used a light weight dk extra fine Merino which works perfectly. It is lovely and soft and perfect for that in between weather we've been having lately.

Feeling relaxed and rejuvenated after a recent family getaway at an eco friendly resort with pristine secluded beaches at the doorstep.

Think fresh air, sunshine, stunning views, long walks on the beach, building sandcastles, looking at all the curious creatures, eating out and taking up photo opportunities and a little bit of crochet too!

Indie dyers for Vic Wildlife - fundraiser
Rehabilitating countless animals after the horrific Victorian Bushfires.

, and have coordinated an epic fundraiser raffle. All proceeds will be split equally between Red Box Wildlife Shelter (Elphinstone) and Narbeview Wildlife Shelter (Buxton).

Me Bee-ing Positive! The Victorian Longwood bushfires.

I am so proud of my 14yo son who kept calm and level headed after being evacuated last minute from Yarck to Alexandra and then suddenly having to take shelter again as the fire approached.

I'm not guna lie, me being far away in Tasmania, losing contact with him and not knowing how close the fire was, I had a few moments of meltdown!

Incredibly grateful to my Brothers who were just out of reach but being super reassuring and doing what they could to help.

So grateful to the CFA and Everyone who fought so hard and kept the fire away from Alex Township! What an epic effort!

So grateful for my boy's safety and so much appreciation for everyone who is helping out in every way they can.

So sorry to those who have lost so much.

Praying for this cool weather and rain in Tassie to head over and provide much needed relief! Stay safe everyone xx
