Sometimes the sweetest moments are the quiet ones. Zazzles sitting by the window in the morning light, birdwatching with a gentle breeze drifting in. 🐦🐾

Two sleepy bumble bees tucked into the unfolding petals of my dahlia this afternoon 🐝🤍
It’s moments like these that remind me to slow down in the garden. Before I deadhead any bloom, I always take a little peek inside….you never know who might be resting there.
The garden is never just ours, we’re simply sharing it.

This morning I wandered through the garden in the cool air, noticing new seedlings emerging, some I sowed such as two varieties of sweet peas, strawflower and Nigella also known as love in a mist. 🌱Others have self seeded, such as the pansies, dianthus and alyssum. While enjoying the calm that comes with slow mornings, a little moth rested on me for a while, as if pausing with me to take in the quiet. These small moments are why I love growing from seed and spending time in the garden. 🐝Especially thriving are the herbs ready to be picked and added to cooking, where their freshness makes all the difference.🌿

‘The littlest feet make the biggest footprints in our hearts.’ 🌱
Some pieces take their time.🌸
This one began with flowers gathered from the garden, drawn before they faded, then slowly brought to life with watercolour and pencil.
It is now a new addition to my seeded card collection, to be gifted, then planted, and a wonderful reminder as the flowers bloom.
Now available at my online store with free shipping.🐝

As I turn the page to a brand new month, the floral footprints have come to life 🌸
After sharing the beginning of this piece as a graphite sketch, I’m so happy to finally reveal the finished illustration, completed with watercolour and pencil on cold pressed watercolour paper.🌿
Inspired by blooms gathered from my cottage garden here in Tasmania, I wanted this artwork to feel like a little celebration of the beauty that grows all around us, and of course I couldn’t resist including some of the tiny visitors I so often spot among the petals, a bumble bee and a little yellow ladybird.🌼
This will be one of many nature inspired designs joining my seeded card range this year, created to encourage planting, pollinators, and small moments of wonder 🌿🐝✨

I have been enjoying spending each morning in the garden with a cuppa, the bees and Zazzles for company.🌿🐝 I find the routine sets the mood for the day, allows me to calmly live in the moment and enjoy the scents and colours that envelop the space. 🌼🏡
Please note # no bees or Zazzles were harmed in the making of the video 🎥😺🐝

Adoring the colour and gentle activity in the garden at the moment. After a recent heatwave here in Tasmania, a welcome cool change arrived, bringing much needed rain and a sense of relief for both plants and pollinators. I love how cottage flowers naturally lend themselves to petite bouquets, each one full of colour, character and quiet beauty 🐝
