I love the bones of this old building..the high ceilings lined with boards…the old window that has lost its weights and needs to be propped open in summer….the gorgeous front windows that flood this space with the most beautiful light..all year round. Today the open fire misbehaved with an abrupt change in wind direction which happens occasionally at this time of the year. The shop soon filled with smoke but I can forgive it even that. After all this chimney has been doing its thing for the last 150 years or so!
As we near the end of another winter and the start of spring there has been plenty of behind the scenes sourcing of new linens from Europe, new pottery collections, exciting handcrafted jewellery and so much more to come.
