There’s little reason to make the journey back to the house with this garden room. This project by Langdale Landscapes features a contemporary louvred pergola that adjoins the outbuilding.

The warmth and linear run of the wooden slats echo the Iroko seam running through the Grillo kitchen. Against the black cabinetry and dark pergola, the Iroko, together with the wicker furnishings, brings a softer, natural warmth to the space.

Grillo Plateau™ worksurfaces are made from sintered stone. Not sure what that is? Think of sintered stone as geology, accelerated.

Natural minerals are put under intense heat and pressure, recreating in hours what would otherwise happen over thousands of years beneath the earth’s surface.

The result is a seriously tough surface: resistant to heat, frost, UV, stains and scratches. Which, when your worktop lives outside all year round, is rather important.

It’s why we use it on every Grillo outdoor kitchen.

The owners have paired their Grillo kitchen with their own bar table and chairs, and it all sits together splendidly. The warm Iroko seam is complemented by the wooden bar top, while the surrounding outbuilding continues the same mix of warm wood and black.
