Some paintings just flow and this is one of them.

From the first sight of this rooster I already knew what this painting would look like. Inspired by Regal oil paintings of the past this king needed a portrait to fit his magnificence.

This handsome fellow is 'Neville'.
Acrylic on canvas.
80 X 60cm

After dropping my son off at kindergarten last week and taking a picture of the Kinder's very beautiful rooster (Neville) I have had this painting on my mind.

I tried to finish other paintings but this is the one I wanted to do. It's a reminder to myself, it is a good thing to follow your heart if a painting wants to be painted push everything aside and just do it.

Take a minute out of your day to come paint with me. The bird calls are beautiful and I wish you could smell the wind, it is full of the scent of peppermint gums and has the slightest hint of someone woodfire place. Heaven!❤️❤️❤️.
