A little life update from behind the scenes at Barossa Clay & Glaze 🧡

I’ve been a little quiet lately as we’ve had the huge (and exhausting) task of moving homes. As many makers would understand, packing up a pottery space and kiln setup is no small job!

At this stage, because we are currently renting, I’m still unsure whether I’ll be able to run my kiln from home. If not, it may mean a slightly slower process for a little while as I’ll be using community kilns in the interim.

But one thing I do know — I’ll find a way to get creating again soon. I’m already itching to get my hands back into clay and spend some time handbuilding new pieces inspired by the beautiful earthy tones and textures I love so much.

In the meantime, my website is still open and there are still some beautiful handmade pieces available for sale online 🤎 Your support during this transition truly means so much.

Thank you for your patience, kindness and encouragement while I navigate this next chapter. I can’t wait to get creating again and share more with you soon.

Simple. Functional. Beautiful 🤍

This garlic & ginger grater is finished in a soft neutral off-white with subtle light green speckles — earthy, timeless and designed to sit effortlessly in any kitchen.

Handmade with intention, it’s as practical as it is beautiful. Perfect for fresh garlic, ginger, citrus zest or even nutmeg, with raised ridges that make grating easy and efficient.

A piece you’ll reach for daily… and happily leave on display.

Glazing day 🤍

Watching each garlic & ginger grater transform as the glaze settles into the texture never gets old. Every piece is handmade here in the Barossa, layered by hand and ready for its final firing.

Sisters, not twins — each one beautifully unique and made to be used daily. ✨

This page is where I share the journey behind my pottery — from clay and glaze tests to finished pieces ready for new homes.

Every item is handmade in small batches, inspired by nature, texture and everyday moments. I love creating ceramics that feel good in your hands and earn a place in your daily routine.

Thank you for being here and supporting handmade. — Donna 🌼💕🎨
