I’ve heard so many beginner bakers say they’re a bit nervous to try a proper layer cake. Trust me, I get it! I know all too well how a bake can take a sudden turn. I’ve had my fair share of sliding sponges and crumb-filled icing over the years. 🫠

But honestly, I truly believe that anyone can make a showstopper. It’s not about being a pro, it’s just about knowing a few little tricks to help things along. I’ve put together a post on the blog with all the things I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way!) because I genuinely want you to feel that same bit of joy I get when a cake finally comes together.

The biggest secret? It’s the Chill Factor. ❄️ It sounds so simple, but popping your cake in the fridge for a bit between the crumb coat and the final layer is a total game changer. It’s the one thing that actually makes the process relaxing rather than a struggle!
