A little layout rework can make a big difference!

Swipe through to explore this recent kitchen and laundry project in Melbournes north. This space is now completely optimised - maximising storage and creating a more open, functional layout designed for everyday living and entertaining.

A little look back at a project completed four years ago. 🤍

This home was designed around my client’s vision, bringing elements and influences from her previous homes into a completely new space — familiar touches, but with a fresh look and feel.

Super white stone, oak and black joinery, light grey & white tiles, accented by brushed brass - coming together to create an interior that feels elegant & refined. Four years on, I still LOVE seeing these details together!

The home has since been sold, but it was such a beautiful project to be part of — and a wonderful & kind client to work with. A reminder of what can be created when a design is shaped around the people who live in it.

Learn to model smooth curved lines👇🏻

This is something I see all too often, rounded shapes & objects with jagged linework - and it’s a super easy fix!

1: WINDOW > Turn on ENTITY INFO

OR Right-click on curved line > select ENTITY INFO

2: Increase Segments - The more segments, the smoother your curve!

& that’s it! The default is quite low as it’s designed to optimise performance but if you’re communicating things like round mirrors, arch ways & curved joinery just to name a few - you really can’t have jagged line work in your models!

You don’t need to go too high with the segments but increase it enough so the linework doesn’t look jagged.

One of my favorite elements, the custom drawn banksia illustration within an arch, bringing together Australian influence, strength and the visual idea of bridging the space between plans and the finished home.

The Details That Matter — Part 3! ✨

Never underestimate the small details in 3D design.

Here’s a closer look at a few of the finer details within kitchen design — all carefully modelled to look just as they would in real life, with accurate dimensions, scale, shape, colour and finish.

From lighting and door profiles to cabinet hardware and even kickers, these details might seem small, but they play such a big part in creating a realistic and cohesive 3D visualisation.

And soon, you’ll be able to add some of these custom-made assets to your own 3D collection 👀✨ I’ve been working behind the scenes on a growing library of detailed SketchUp assets, designed to help bring your own models to life.

P.S. This is also a little sneak peek at a current project I’m working on… and I have to say, it’s turning into one of my favourite designs to date! I can’t wait to share the finished project with you all 🙌🏼❤️
