The Details That Matter — Part 3! ✨

Never underestimate the small details in 3D design.

Here’s a closer look at a few of the finer details within kitchen design — all carefully modelled to look just as they would in real life, with accurate dimensions, scale, shape, colour and finish.

From lighting and door profiles to cabinet hardware and even kickers, these details might seem small, but they play such a big part in creating a realistic and cohesive 3D visualisation.

And soon, you’ll be able to add some of these custom-made assets to your own 3D collection 👀✨ I’ve been working behind the scenes on a growing library of detailed SketchUp assets, designed to help bring your own models to life.

P.S. This is also a little sneak peek at a current project I’m working on… and I have to say, it’s turning into one of my favourite designs to date! I can’t wait to share the finished project with you all 🙌🏼❤️

A sneak peek at the new Sarah Amos Interiors…

After five years in business, I decided it was time to take my brand to the next level. What started as a vision five years ago has evolved into something so much more considered — a beautifully connected brand itentity that reflects who I am, what I do, and the journey I want to take my clients on.

The brief: timeless, grounded and inspired by my favourite botanical colour palette. Something that felt true to me, while creating a strong foundation that can grow with my interior design business for years to come.

One of my favourite parts is the custom artwork and illustrations, and how beautifully they soften the more technical side of what I do. It’s such a lovely representation of the balance between creativity and precision that sits at the heart of Sarah Amos Interiors.

A closer look at The Bayside Reno ✨

This project was all about bringing the 2D plans to life and using 3D visualisation to refine the design along the way.

We explored several island configurations, tested different layouts and visualised a range of colour and material options to see what worked best in the space.

Being able to see the design in 3D allowed us to identify a few areas that needed further refinement before anything was built.

Now I’m working through the final working drawings, giving the clients a comprehensive measurement document to take to their builder and trades.

I can’t wait to follow along to see this stunning renovation come to life!

When your client’s vision is next level👌🏻✨

This project was a little different for me. Rather than designing the interior, my role was to bring the client’s vision to life through a highly detailed 3D model and realistic visualisations.

Every finish, colour selection, material and design detail was carefully interpreted to create an accurate digital version of the home—bridging the gap between plans and reality before the build even begins.

The result? Complete confidence to move forward knowing every detail had been visualised before construction.

A reminder that 3D visualisation isn’t just about beautiful renders. It’s about clarity, confidence, and making informed decisions before you build.

It’s the small details that bring a design to life. They add depth, realism, and that extra layer of polish that makes a render feel like home.

My go-to SketchUp Scene Style! 👇🏻

1: Window > Styles
BOX 1
> Profiles set to 1
> Colour box change to mid grey
BOX 3
> Background > change colour box to white
> Sky > lighten the blue colour box

2: Window > Shadows
>Adjust ‘light & dark’ sliders

3: Add new scene & select ‘Save as new style’

Latest kitchen concept for a Sydney duplex build ✨

What started as a vision is now a fully resolved design plan. Through my 3D Concept Design process, we moved from initial space planning and layout refinement through to final renders and a complete set of working drawings — giving my client the clarity and tools needed to bring this new build to life with confidence.
