Creamy Tomato Soup is my family’s favourite and made effortlessly with my Thermomix.

You can use tinned tomatoes quite successfully when fresh aren’t in season but I had a massive bowl full that needed using up and were quite soft and had even grown a little furry 🤮 (yep, just chop the gross parts off and you’re still good. I avoid kitchen waste as best as I can, it’s better for the planet and your wallet.)

Well, that was probably too much information but the end of last month was nuts and some things were forgotten about.

I actually bought the tomatoes to make some fresh ketchup as we were running low. That’ll be next week’s job.

It’s just ace that Thermomix can make it all.

It’s certainly soup season at the moment and if you don’t own a Thermi, you’re missing out. Cookidoo has so many recipes so you can try a new recipe every day over next few months.

What’s your favourite soup recipe?

Freshly baked bread is a simple life pleasure.

Thermomix® makes it easy, all natural and cost effective.

I use the Thermomumma recipe in Cookidoo.

The TM7 literally weighs everything, mix and kneads it and then all you need to do is proof, shape, proof and bake.

Sounds like a lot but really it’s only a few minutes worth of work.

This loaf only cost me $1 to make, our local bakery sells it for almost $6. The savings really add up over a year and if you usually buy 2 or 3 loaves a week, more so.

But the main reason why I bake my own bread is because I’d rather my bread not contain emulsifiers, seed oils, preservatives and additives like bakery or store bought bread does. These little extras are linked to poor gut health and that’s not a good thing. I can’t avoid all the nasty stuff completely but this is one way to minimise it.

Who else bake their own bread? Which recipe do you use?

We’ve been enjoying A LOT of risottos lately and my favourite go-to is the Chicken, Spinach and Leek Risotto as it’s an easy, adaptable one pot wonder that’s ready in 30 minutes.

When grating up the Parmesan at the start, I always do extra so that there’s extra leftover grated cheese in the fridge.

I added some zucchini in with the leek for extra veg, as well as roasted pumpkin cubes at the end with some frozen peas instead of spinach. I usually increase the chicken to 500g too.

I like to serve the risotto as is or with a crisp green salad.

The recipe for this family favourite can be found in Cookidoo and requires only 15 minutes of prep. Bookmark it - you’ll need it for those quick midweek nights or weekends when you’re feeling tired and/or lazy.

Delicious and healthy cooking is what I’m all about. Thermomix® makes it quick and easy.
What can I say, we make a great team 💚💚💚

We’ve been having porridge for breakfast lately, simply topped with banana, cinnamon and honey.

Sometimes I add LSA for extra protein and nutrients.

The Thermomix weighs the ingredients, cooks it and stirs it hands-free, then while I eat, I pop it on the self-cleaning mode.

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive or hard and a Thermomix® can help with that, especially if your time is limited. Plus there are loads of different recipes in Cookidoo® so you’ll never be bored and you can usually adjust the serves to feed more or less.

What a good way to start the week!

Happy Monday! 💚💚💚

After participating in a Spanish cooking class run by I thought I’d keep the theme going by making a Prawn and Chorizo Paella for dinner tonight.

This is also known as one of my favourite dinners as everything’s thrown into the Thermomix® bowl and cooked handsfree as I open a bottle of wine and pour a glass - it’s been a big week and I’m done. Who doesn’t love a one pot wonder on a Friday night?!

One of my favourite Chorizo to use just happens to be made by which you can pick up from

The perfect breakfast on a morning like this - Apple, Sultana and Cinnamon Porridge.

Delicious, comforting and full of goodness, this is one of my favourite porridge recipes in Cookidoo®.

I love that I can use the guided cooking and scale the recipe to serve either 1, 2 or 4. Use whatever milk you prefer here too.

Pop a 🍎 in the comments if you want me to send you the Cookidoo link.

Is it just me but no one seems to talk about meatloaf these days? I don’t know why, it’s such a great healthy, delicious and comforting family friendly Aussie classic.

This Meatloaf was a winner at dinner and made so easily with the Thermomix® and Cookidoo® guided cooking.

I personally didn’t grow up eating Meatloaf but my kids will be from now on as it’s such a low effort and low budget meal to throw together. And leftovers make a great sandwich filling the next day.

You can steam the veggies in your Thermomix® Varoma while the meatloaf bakes and then create a creamy mash too - don’t forget that the butterfly whisk can’t go past speed 4!

FYI: I spread homemade BBQ Sauce over the Meatloaf in the final baking part and ignored the recipe at that part. I also served the Meatloaf with homemade Tomato and BBQ sauce - find the recipes in Cookidoo.

Are you Team Meatloaf?

Is this a forgotten family favourite???

Pick up the loaf tin and lamington tray that I used from

Food prep for a busy friend - Creamy Chicken Cauliflower Soup.

This healthy and delicious soup is low in carbs and high in protein yet super comforting, perfect for this time of year.

The chicken is steamed with a homemade Taco Seasoning while the cauliflower cooks at the same time in the Thermomix®. The chicken stays tender and juicy and is shredded in just 4 seconds.

I made this after cooking a fresh batch Chicken Stock Concentrate, something that I always try to have in my fridge as it’s a fantastic all natural flavour booster.

Make sure you try to make this soup while cauliflowers are in season right now.

Find the recipe on Cookidoo® and the Skinnymixer website.
