Some moments make all the hard work worthwhile.

This week we completed the final waste audit for The Good Sort Darebin trial, revisiting 125 households (as best we could) to measure how food waste diversion changed over the course of the trial.

Walking up to bin after bin and seeing The Good Sort bags in so many FOGO bins... it's a feeling that's hard to put into words. After years of developing and testing this product, seeing it making a real difference in people's homes is something I'll never forget.

To everyone in this group who took part in the trial, completed a survey, welcomed us to your door, or simply gave our paper liners a go: thank you. Your willingness to participate, share honest feedback and help us improve has made this project so much more valuable than we could have imagined.

Now comes the fun part! We'll be diving into all of the survey responses, analysing the audit results and pulling everything together into the final report. One thing we can already say... the results are looking fantastic! 🎉

Excited to officially kick off the TGS x Darebin City Council trial ♻️

Over the past few weeks, we’ve completed waste audits across 125 households to help better understand current food waste behaviours and contamination challenges. The insights gathered will help shape the next stage of the trial, with 500 Darebin households soon to receive their trial packs of The Good Sort paper caddy liners.

Made locally from 100% recycled paper, TGS liners are designed to make food waste separation simpler, cleaner and more practical for households, while supporting better organics recovery outcomes.

The Good Sort (.au) is a solution developed by Sustainable Solutions Now, focused on creating practical, circular solutions for real-world waste challenges.
