You don’t need to paint a single wall to make a room feel full of colour.

Five ways we bring it in, from the sofa to the smallest object on the shelf. All of it drawn from our own projects, all of it intentional.

Save this one for when you‘re ready to make the move. 🤍

Here’s what “we’ll handle it” actually looks like behind the scenes.

This week: furniture installation day at our Kew residence, the day months of decisions, sourcing and back-and-forth finally become a finished room someone gets to walk into. Whether it’s a custom-designed piece, a B&B Italia sofa, an armchair reupholstered in a custom seating fabric, or a new wall light, we take care of every last detail so the client never has to think about it.

We also spent time with the people who make our jobs better: Darren at BAYA , walking us through their wool rug range, and Kirsten from Waverley Mills , previewing some of the finest wool throws we‘ve seen — both landing in upcoming projects. Plus a lunch & learn at Made by Storey , where Anna showcased their engineered timber flooring and wall panel options, getting us sharp ahead of our renovation work.

And yes, Joli & Coffee were on duty all week, sitting in with the team while we sorted colour, wall finish and fabric samples ahead of a run of in-studio consultations. Joy, mess, and quality control, apparently. 🐾

This is the part of the job you don’t usually see. We think it‘s worth showing 🤔

30 days in June. Here‘s ours.

1. A site visit to our Balaclava Gem project. The living curation is coming together beautifully, anchored by the most stunning tappeti fine crafted rugs + carpets x Y S G rug. Artwork curation is next and we genuinely can‘t wait to share more.

2. We finally replaced the studio pendant and went with the Honey by Stilnovo . That glossy white finish, the way it seems to just float in space. It’s everything.

3. Got invited to Jardan for their latest rug launch and walked away with a new favourite. The Merla Rug. Safe to say it won‘t be long before it shows up in a project.

4&5. Over in Parkdale, lighting installation day for our residence project. The Cocoon pendant for the dining space paired with a mix of Akari pendants. Stay tuned for the full reveal.

6. The team is deep in the custom rumpus bar design for our Sydney project. We visited The English Tapware Company in Armadale to find the right tapware design and it’s looking really good.

7. And in between all of that, we celebrated our wonderful team member Inaya‘s birthday. 🎂

8. Finally, we wrapped June the only way that felt right. At W**e Requests 0431611474 , celebrating our recent project feature on The Local Project . Grateful doesn’t even cover it.

July, let‘s go. 🖤

For everyone who loves their white walls but feels like something is missing — this one’s for you.

You don’t need to paint to make your space feel warm, considered and completely yours. You just need to know where to start.

Five things we always come back to: the right rug, layered lighting, one investment piece, art and objects that mean something, and texture over colour.

It’s what we do at Furnishd, and the results speak for themselves.

One of those weeks where you hit Friday and think: how did we fit all of that in.

We spent time at a lighting workshop hosted by the wonderful team at this week — and got to meet the maker behind in person. Getting into the story, the craftsmanship and the details behind the products — it’s the kind of thing that completely changes the way you specify.

We also had a stone slab day at & with our clients — one of the most tactile and exciting parts of any project. Seeing the slabs in person, understanding how the veining and tone shifts in different light, watching a client‘s face when they find the one. Always a good day.

Back at the studio, we hosted a few colour consultation and material selection workshops — our favourite kind of afternoon. And to close the week out, the wonderful team at had us in for a product walkthrough and, honestly, one of the best yum cha lunches we’ve had in a while. Grateful for that one.

And now — Melbourne Design Week. We‘re throwing ourselves in fully this weekend to see some of our friends’ work, discover beautiful things, and soak up everything this city does so well when it comes together around design.

Fully charged. Let‘s go. 🖤

Honestly, this week has been a lot, in the best way.

We’re in the final stretch of our Kew Residence and it’s one of those projects that just feels really good to be part of. The family are creative, musical, and they’ve trusted us completely so we’ve been able to go deep on every detail, including the custom joinery for their music room. On site this week finalising the last finishes. Nearly there.

We also got to spend some time at ’s new Brunswick showroom, and WOW. Ollie, Simon and Cathy walked us through their story from the beginning, their new collection, and a space designed by that honestly blew us away. One of those visits where you leave feeling genuinely inspired. If you haven’t been, go.

Then we jumped on a flight to Sydney for the Bellevue Hill photoshoot with the incredible behind the lens. There’s something really special about watching a project you’ve poured yourself into finally be captured properly. More to come on that one very soon.

And to close out the week, a home consultation where the wall finish and pendant installation came together in a way that genuinely made us stop and smile. The kind of moments that reminds you why the details matter.

A lot happening, a lot to look forward to. This is the part of the job we love most. 💙

INTRODUCING 1927 LOFT

A year after first reaching out, this home has now come fully to life ✨

When our clients moved in, the space was paired back to the essentials. Their brief was to invest slowly and thoughtfully in quality pieces that would serve them well into the future.

The result is layered, soulful, and full of character. Stay tuned 🤍

2025 was a year of building.

We refined our process, we obsessed over the details, and we delivered with intention.

We collaborated deeply, trusted our instincts, and raised our own bar.

We worked hard, learned fast, and celebrated the wins along the way.

We close the year grounded, grateful, and ready for what’s next.

Happy New Year 🥂✨
