Piccaninny Rugs At the moment I'm a one woman team making cute, padded picnic rugs, toy sacks, gorgeous soft toy puppies and bouncy balloon ball covers for kids and babies.

I work outside the home full time and try to keep up with my son (with help from a loving father and husband). Piccaninny Rugs are an original idea borne of necessity. I have not copied anyone else's idea or design and sincerely hope that those in the craft and handmade world extend the same courtesy to me.

General information

After searching for a rug to put my son on when we were outside in the garden or the park, I decided that there really wasn't anything specifically designed for little ones. At that point the idea for Piccaninny Rugs was born: a washable picnic rug that has a water resistant underside and cute patchwork top that won't collect the grass, sticks and grit like other picnic rugs can!
