Hi my name is Dana, and together with my husband we run this small business. 🐝🌼

This is our story...

I was born in Slovakia, a beautiful country full of mountains and fairy-tale-like castles. My grandad was a beekeeper. As kids we always had bees buzzing around us. And most of all there was always some yummy honey for our family and friends. My granddad kept some hives at home and I have vivid memories of him sitting outside and hand-carving wooden sculptures, which of course were used as homes for our bees. We also had around 40 beehives just a short drive away at my great grandparent's farmhouse. My granddad also kept bees in an old train carriage which he sometimes relocated adjacent to fields based on what types of flowers were in season.

We loved beeswax “chewing gum”; honeycomb full of sweet honey which we always chewed on while our grandparents were collecting honey. My dad was often helping too, and while they were hard at work we would often explore the nearby forest, or swim or fish in the dam at the adjacent property.
