A frontage built on texture and time.

Rammed earth walls, dark timber cladding, and a steep pitched roofline shape this contemporary farmhouse into something that feels both solid and understated. The palette stays deliberately raw and natural, letting the home root itself in the Bellarine landscape with a sense of weight and stillness.

Nothing here is accidental, proportion, texture, and restraint all work in service of the same idea: a facade that ties itself to the land while holding a clear, modern identity of its own.

Where restraint becomes the statement.

Standing seam metal, rammed earth, and blackened timber layer together on this facade to form an exterior with real presence on the Bellarine landscape. Every material was chosen for how it wears and weathers, building a home that feels solid, textured, and unmistakably tied to its site.

Native planting softens the edges, easing the home into its rural setting without diluting its bold, contemporary form. It’s a composition built on tension — rough against refined — where less becomes the whole point.

A home that takes its cues from the land it sits on.

Scotchman’s View Farmhouse leans into the raw, weathered character of the Bellarine Peninsula. Charred timber cladding, rammed earth walls, and rugged stone accents combine for a warm, earthbound farmhouse that feels like it grew out of the site rather than being placed on it.

The massing stays deliberately low and grounded, letting the home settle into its surrounds without losing its bold, modern edge. What emerges is a pared-back exterior where coastal simplicity meets raw material honesty — quiet, enduring, and unmistakably rooted in place.

Kilmuir House, where heritage character meets a thoughtfully extended family home.

This Edwardian weatherboard home has been lovingly restored and extended, keeping its original gable, fretwork, stained glass windows and return verandah intact while a new rear addition brings space for modern family life. Timber picket fencing, a classic brick chimney, and corrugated iron roofing all nod to the home’s original character, proof that heritage homes and contemporary living can coexist beautifully.

Concrete floors, plastered walls and warm timber joinery ground this light-filled living space, while a sunlit window seat and framed courtyard views connect the interior back to the garden beyond. A soft, tactile palette of green boucle, leather cushions and marble brings warmth to the pared-back material base.

Kilmuir House, a kitchen that balances warmth and refinement in equal measure.

Book-matched Carrara marble waterfall benchtops sit alongside rich walnut joinery, with aged brass tapware adding a soft, warm contrast throughout. A butler’s pantry tucked behind the main kitchen keeps everyday mess out of sight, while timber bar stools and considered styling bring an easy, welcoming feel to the family hub of the home.
