Guess who is peeking through? 👀 I was so excited to come out into the garden this week and see the tulips have started to emerge for the first time! 🌷🙌🏽

I can’t even begin to describe how much joy this gave me. Setting up this little project in my unused veggie patch has been so fun and I can’t wait to document the journey and share it with you along the way.

56 days from planting to emerging. Now let’s see how long it takes for them to flower!

I’m absolutely loving our new Reverse Osmosis and Whole House Water Filtration systems, recently installed by Mack and Luke from Select Filtration.

The water tastes incredible, and I’m now easily reaching my goal of drinking 4 litres of water every day. Even the kids are excited about it and are drinking more water too!

Our filtration system removes chlorine, chloramine, pesticides, herbicides, fluoride, and heavy metals, so we have clean, great-tasting water throughout the house.

I even bought a new tumbler to keep under the kitchen sink for all our toothbrushes and toothpaste, and we’ve started brushing our teeth in the kitchen using the filtered water. It’s a small change that’s become part of our new routine.

After researching so many different companies I chose Select Filtration for the install.

▫️Family owned business (You’ll speak to Yaz on the phone and Luke will come out to site - no call centres and being passed around to different people)
▫️No pushy sales tactics
▫️Licenced plumbers doing all the installs themselves (no sub-contracting out to third parties)
▫️After sales service - if you have any follow up questions you get to speak to the same people that installed your product
▫️Complete training on how to DIY replacement filters - so no service call required (you can still book the team to replace them if you prefer)

And the whole house water filtration system stood out above others:
▫️Australian made product (this can be hard to find)
▫️New powder coated design in Monument or Surfmist
Filters down to 0.5 microns
▫️Discreet placement tucked away on the side of the house wherever possible
▫️Freestanding post option - as our house is Hebel and they don’t recommend drilling into this

We’ve had some cold, wet and windy winter days in Melbourne this week but I’m reminding myself my little tulip bulbs in the ground need this cold so they they can develop properly for a full flush in Spring. Every season has its purpose and I’m leaning into feeling grateful and teaching my kids to do the same.

The boys went to Bright this week and it rained nearly the entire time so they didn’t get in as much mountain biking as they would like. The new skate park was flooded and so they were cooped up indoors most of the time.

But…there’s only 60 days until spring. Let the countdown begin.
