La Maison Jolie - Inspired Design & Style Welcome to La Maison Jolie
Interior Design & Style Blog | Product Styling | Sharing Affordable Styling & Design Inspirations Hello!

My name is Rani Engineer and welcome to my design & style blog La Maison Jolie! When I started La Maison Jolie (House Beautiful) in 2011, I didn't have a plan in mind. I just wanted a place to write about interior design and what inspired me. Interior styling has always been a passion of mine, ever since my grandfather bought me my first doll’s house and I stayed up all night sticking craft paper onto the walls and rearranging all the tiny furniture. My style is constantly evolving and currently I’m focused on exploring designs involving urban living meets French farmhouse. I’m crazy about cushions, wooden crates, paint and love writing about them. I love recycling, reusing and refurbishing furniture. Taking something old and breathing new life into it while making it useful and unique is what I love the most. I like reviewing new design products and accessories, styling and photographing them and have been very fortunate to work with some well known brands. On the blog, I love sharing eclectic DIY design and craft projects and I’m constantly challenging my own design ideas. I sincerely hope that readers derive inspiration from what I do and what I write about... after all inspiration has no boundaries. Heartfelt thanks to those who are following me and to those who stop by to read my blog, you are all a big part of my creative journey! Feel free to drop me a line on [email protected] - I'd love to hear from you!

Emerald green — bold, grounded, and quietly luxurious 💚

It’s the colour of growth, balance and deep calm. A hue that speaks of confidence without shouting, of richness without excess.

In a home, emerald green creates a sense of serenity and depth. It draws you in. Invites pause. Evokes lush forests, cool air, and timeless elegance.

If you’re drawn to emerald, chances are you value harmony, strength and a little bit of mystery. ✨💚

It’s not just a colour — it’s a feeling.
💚

The tree was glowing, the mulled w**e was flowing, and the house sparkled with twinkling lights and festive magic. ✨🎄

There’s something so cosy and joyful about mid-year cheer — looking forward to doing it all over again!!!🎄 ✨🎄

Wandering through Gamla Stan, getting lost in its cobbled laneways and stumbling upon the most weird and wonderful little antique shops, bookstores and restaurants—each one with interiors that are nothing short of stunning. ✨

There’s magic in every corner here. 🖤

Pane Fresco, you’ve officially stolen my carb-loving heart. Al dente pasta, rich sauce with the most perfect depth of flavour, stunning Amalfi vibes—and the dreamiest backdrop of Stockholm’s old town. When in Sweden… eat like you’re in Italy 😋✨🇸🇪
