Love an update! 😍

A few months ago, a client (also family) reached out for help creating a dedicated workspace for three people within their living room.

By reimagining the layout of both the living and dining areas, we were able to make use of an underutilised corner and transform it into a functional and beautiful office space.

My client built the shelving themselves and I think they turned out absolutely amazing! 🙌

One of my favourite things about styling is working with pieces my clients already own. Not only is it more sustainable and budget-friendly, but it also creates a space that feels authentic to them. Many of these items hold special memories, reflect their personal style and help tell their story.

Of course, I’ll always offer suggestions, guidance & styling recommendations but at the end of the day, my role is to help bring my client’s vision to life. Their home should feel like them & their satisfaction will always be my highest priority.

Sometimes the best home projects start with a simple question; “Can we make this space work better?”

My friend wanted to transform her living and dining area into a space that could fit a 3-person office, while mostly using what she already had.
Her vision… a moody vintage home instead of the light and airy look.

The design I had for the new layout included zones, so we got to work.
• Turned the couch to create a cosy L-shaped lounge
• Moved her beautiful vintage buffet to anchor the new dining space
• Added a round rug to define the future dining table
We still need to find the right table, but that’s the beauty of designing slowly and intentionally.😉

After 8 hours of shopping and 10,000+ steps😥😆, we came home and styled just one zone - the lounge.
That moment when one space comes together 😌 makes it all worth it.

Today I’m recovering with a movie marathon with my babies because yesterday felt like I ran a marathon 😆

Reminder:
You don’t need to redo your whole house.
Sometimes one thoughtful change brings fresh life into a space.

When you have a creative block, rearrange your couch 🤣 Seriously though.

When my ideas feel stuck, I don’t scroll Pinterest… I clean, declutter and move furniture. Even just shifting a chair or restyling a console changes the energy of a room.

There’s actual psychology behind it!! visual order reduces mental load and physical movement sparks fresh thinking 💡

Busy mums, if your brain feels cluttered… try clearing the room first.
Worst case? You get a cleaner house.
Best case? You get your spark back 😉

My Sunday Reset 🕊️☕️

Pressing in and seeking my Lord & saviour Jesus Christ. A spiritual reset 🥰

At the start of the year I prayed, “Lord, take me deeper into the knowledge of who You are.” And now the old way of seeking Him doesn’t satisfy my soul. He’s taking me on a fresh journey of faith and learning to intercede with power and authority.

Here’s the sweet reality of my mornings…
when the kids wake up, they come looking for me; and if I’m not in my room, they already know where I’ll be…
the prayer room. They also know that if Mamas eyes are closed or worship music is playing, they cannot disturb (unless it’s urgent of course).

I love that their day starts with a cuddle and a kiss from Mum (and Dad when he’s not working), a chat about their sleep and their dreams as it gives me an opportunity to speak into it or pray over them if they’ve had a bad dream.

I’m so grateful my husband and I are united in our intentions to cultivate a home marked by love, safety, honesty, and real transparency. I just hope my son never outgrows greeting his mama first thing with a cuddle and a kiss. 🥹

Later in the day I had my big kids set aside an hour to seek God… to pray, read and journal while their baby sister napped.

Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

I am grateful for the blessings of all the above, which has been added to me. Thank you Abba, Father 🫶🏽🙏🏽✨

The mundane is where the real learning sticks.

I used to think the “real learning” happened at the table with pencils and worksheets, but some of our biggest lessons happen in the everyday.

Cooking teaches planning, fractions, patience and serving.
Cleaning teaches responsibility, stewardship, teamwork and follow-through.
These are the skills that will stay with them long after they forget a spelling list.

The quiet bonus of being home with my children is the fellowship and unity - the chats while we fold laundry, the giggles while we load the dishwasher and the heart-to-hearts while we make dinner. It’s trust being built in real time.

Let’s not forget the God moments. Like
when one child asks a deep question out of nowhere 😳, when we pray in the middle of a messy day or when you feel Holy Spirit nudge you to soften your tone and choose love 😅.

So today wasn’t “just housework.”
It was character building, connection & discipleship.

Save this if you needed the reminder that the mundane counts.

Can you be faithful in the ‘now’ and still prepare for the ‘next’?

It was the 4th and final session of the Bethel business accelerator, and I’m left amazed - yet again - at how God has met me in every session; quietly answering the questions of my heart and reaffirming His purpose for my life.

I often wrestle with that familiar spiral;
“Am I doing enough?”
“Am I doing the right thing?”

And if I’m being real, there have been times I’ve felt guilty for even dreaming!. For thinking about what I might step into when this season shifts 😓

It can feel selfish, right? Like if I’m planning ahead, maybe I’m not being faithful and present in what God has put in my hands today. 🤔

And yet… I also don’t want the gifts God has given me to lay dormant out of fear or false guilt.

So I’m learning to hold both with open hands.
To be fully present in my current calling, while also stewarding what God has placed in me - preparing wisely, learning, and taking small obedient steps as He leads.

I know I’m not the only one living in this tension.

What I keep coming back to is this…
God is faithful. He doesn’t lie. And when we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, He promises to provide what we need in His time.
(Numbers 23:19, Matthew 6:33)

It took me 4 months from the day we moved in, until our pantry looked organized and aesthetically pleasing.

I took a different approach this time round. Instead of buying containers and baskets right away, I decided to wait and see how we live and move around the pantry to ensure the correct placement.

Here’s what I found to work for us. I hope these tips will help you 🥰

• Set up your pantry around FLOW… what you grab most goes closest + easiest to reach.

• Keep the bulky / rarely-used items out of sight but still accessible

• Don’t stress if you can’t “see it” straight away. FUNCTION takes time.

If you’re a busy mum too, I encourage you to start with placement. The aesthetic can come later 🤗

This living room changed piece by piece, slowly and intentionally, much like my current season of my life.

Years ago, I had a clear vision for where I thought my design journey would take me. Then God called me deeper into motherhood and homeschooling. While it wasn’t the timeline I imagined, it has been the one shaping me the most.

So I create with what’s already in my hands. I rearrange. I restyle. I steward and stay faithful in the here and now.

I’m learning that trusting God’s plan doesn’t mean burying the dream but rather nurturing it quietly while I walk in obedience.

Not losing heart or rushing the season but Still believing.

The same God who gave the desire is faithful in every step between here and there. 🤍

Saturday @ Empower Weekend 🙌🏾
We arrived late and boy was I glad I made it in time to grab a couple of pancakes - before the table was wheeled away 🤪

Then we headed East to celebrate my nephew & Nine 🥳. Are so much I waddled back to the car with a full belly 😓.

Saturday well spent 😌
